Jay Mohr, Paula Marshall (Cupid) and Jaime King (Sin City) will front an untitled CBS comedy pilot from Ed Yeager (Still Standing), says the Reporter. The concept has Mohr playing an easygoing dad struggling to get used to his status as a recent divorcé. Marshall will play his Old Christine ex-wife, while King is his new Christine girlfriend.

Should this pilot get picked up to series, Mohr might still continue on at Ghost Whisperer, which has been renewed for next season. — MWM

I hope he stays with GW. It's not like he's in every episode anyway.

I think that they should vary the subject matter a little more. Have Paula Marshall's character be the central character but the equivalent of Christine's ex-husband and then have Jay Mohr be the "Old Christine" and Jamie King be the "New Christine."

@Rob:

And, have Jaime King go back to her old/original "James King" stage name and confuse the heck outta everyone.

I like your concept and rejiggering of roles, but Paula's done sitcom lesbian before (or pretend or whatever the story-line tried to be on "Cursed" with Steven Weber).

I love Paula Marshall, more than almost any other actress, but she has killed more series than any woman besides Carla Gugino (who I also love) You think there's a pattern? Oh my G-D!! I have a showkiller fetish!.

Interesting point Howstone...but my vote for champion series killer has to go to Lauren Graham. People may love her on Gilmore Girls but I can't forget how she brought the story lines on NewsRadio and Spin City to bone-grinding halts.

Lauren Graham was never on Spin City -- she was, however, on Caroline in the City in its early days as the ditzy girlfriend of Caroline's studio partner and was more or less the best thing about the show. Ever.
