Three months and counting after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze has some good news to pass along to fans.

In a statement to People, Swayze details the full life he and wife Lisa have been living as of late, welcoming spring and new baby calves at their New Mexico home, attending a birthday soiree in Reno, and hitting the occasional Lakers game. "In the meantime," Swayze says, "I am continuing treatment at Stanford and the great news is I continue to respond well."

Remember, this is coming from the guy the Enquirer gave "five weeks to live." Keep up the good fight, Patrick! — MWM

My heart goes out to the Swayze family.

My family went through this ordeal last year. I'm happy that Patrick is responding well to the treatment. The Swayze family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I too, wish Patrick all the best....however, having been through this 3 years ago with my father, I wish the media would be more honest about this horrific cancer. It is virtually untreatable - Patrick is probably participating in clinical trials. Over 95% of those who get pancreatic cancer will die from it and soon. The death can be an extremely painful one, which we were miraculously spared with my father. He simply drifted into a coma, and peacefully stopped breathing.

Patrick, keep fighting and cherish every possible moment you have with your family. Really life each day the best you can.

Hear, hear. I've loved Patrick since The Outsiders and North & South. There's not a sweeter, more down to earth actor out there. My prayers are with him and his family. Prayer is POWERFUL.

I'm very sorry to hear about your father and dreadfully sorry to hear that the odds on this craptacular cancer haven't improved. My husband lost his beloved mother to this cancer about 40 years ago. I can see why The Enquirer went the five weeks route, though. That's about how long my husband's mom lived after the initial diagnosis.

It does sound like he's going through a clinical trial of some sort and I certainly hope that he continues to do well. That would be fantastic if he beats this. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

The Enquirer is probably not the most reliable source of information on Swayze's lifespan, no matter how deadly his cancer.
