Has Paris "I Don't Do Drugs, Larry" Hilton fallen in with a bad crowd since being liberated from the hoosegow? Or perhaps she is researching a film role, à la Britney? Per the New York Post's Page Six, the Simple Lifer emerged the other night from an SUV parked outside a Hollywood hot spot awash in a haze of marijuana smoke. "She took a huge puff off a joint," says an eyewitness, "and exhaled the pot smoke basically in my face."

Hilton's rep, perhaps busy banging his head on the desk, has yet to comment for the tab.

Anyone who believes anything Paris Hilton says surely must have their head up where the sun never shines. Of course she is back to her same old life style, she doesn't know any other.

Here is what I don't understand:

If you are Paris, a screw-up so royal you land in the slammer while all your party pals bury themselves in blow and cavort freely, and Larry King asks you about the drugs and drink, why not take that opportunity to offer the public a genuine moment, a heartfelt confession and admission of wrongdoing? Why believe for a second, and if only in your own head, that anyone is going to buy a "no drugs" claim?

She talks about cleaning up her image, so why not start by copping to lewd behavior and illegal habits, and commit to an actual rehabilitation?
