Paris Hilton to Guest on My Name Is Earl

My Name Is Earl's first post-strike episode, titled "I Won't Die with a Little Help from My Friends," will feature a very special guest star: Paris Hilton. As Ausiello hinted at last week, she'll play herself in a dream sequence with Earl (Jason Lee).

Greg Garcia, Earl's creator, was characteristically cheeky about the casting: "When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role. But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can't wait to see what she does with the role and I can't wait for America to discover her."

How about you, America? Are you dying to see how well she plays the role of "Paris Hilton"? Or do you already know enough about the character? — Mickey O'Connor

Sweet. Every single TV gig she gets allows us to report on her every move with even greater impunity! I hope she gets a new dog this week.

Does Dream Paris regale ex-con Earl with tales from her own time in the clink?

I'm sure she'll fit right in with the rest of the white trash characters, melbye, don't worry too much. :-D

I'm disappointed to hear she'll play Paris Hilton, because I think she would be completely unconvincing in the part.

I see her as the older sister of Patty the hooker, or maybe as one-legged Didi's missing limb.

Turnabout is fair play, though, and I believe the only thing that could ever give "The Paris Hilton Story" any credibility at all would be if Jaime Pressly played the title role.

Ooh! TV Gord, I think you've nailed it. Jaime would do much better in the role of Paris Hilton. Of course, it would be slumming for Jaime, but she could so-o-o do that part.

Since when does the FCC allow hardcore p0rn on the networks, even if it's in night-vision?

Do the My Name is Earl producers also feed wild animals? Because this is no different.

I agree with Melbye, except for the dropping the show part. She is trash, and I can't stand her. I don't want her mucking up one of my favorite shows!

I'm still wondering about her promised contribution to society and hoping its the favor she would do us all by dying.

This is a repugnant, disgusting decision on the part of the show's creators, and I held them in higher regard than this.

Some decisions are so detestable that they just go beyond the pale. This is one of them. That worthless human vermin will not vanish into the obscurity her vulgar, brazen stupidity so richly deserves when people keep doing garbage like this.

I absolutely will not watch that episode, and am considering cutting the entire show out of my viewing schedule.

I'm appalled at the nastiness of the comments here! I'm not a fan of Paris Hilton, but I find it upsetting to see a human being treated this badly. She isn't worthless. What did she do to you?

If you're a Christian (and I don't mean to be Bible-thumping here), you might remember the story where a crowd is about to stone a prostitute. Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

That first stone didn't get thrown. None of us is perfect. Please think about that before you throw stones.

Janet,

She's a drunk driver. She's been caught on video spewing racist language. She came out of jail saying she would help children in Rwanda (?), which--unless I missed something--hasn't happened. I have no information that she has done anything useful in her life except give the gutter-media constant fodder for her disgraceful party-girl behavior.

Even though she's an heiress, and even though she has put lives at risk by getting behind the wheel in no condition to drive, she commands tens of thousands of dollars for merely showing up at parties/nightclubs. She is routinely being rewarded for her bad or irresponsible behavior. And she seems to do all quite unapologetically (and flirting with a judge is not an apology).

If you don't think any of those things have earned her public disdain, then you are one of the lucky few who can live a life free of judgment. That's good to know. Next time a pedophile gets released from prison, perhaps he can move into your neighbourhood.
