Lifetime has confirmed that Side Order of Life, starring Marisa Coughlan and Jason Priestley, will not be returning for a second helping. "Although we are not bringing [it] back, we are extremely proud of the show, particularly its sensitive exploration of the issue of living with cancer," Lifetime says in a statement. "We are grateful for the contributions of the talented team, both in front of and behind the camera."

That possibilities for that 90210 spin-off just got 15 percent more interesting, eh?

While this show wasn't rocket science, it was a fun, frothy program for summertime. I'm kinda bummed to not know what's happening next with these characters.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This show was great and I am really upset that LIFETIME has chosen not to continue. I thought it was very innovative... we didn't even get to see what was going to happen once she met cellphone man... UGH... I wish another network could pick this up! :(

I certainly hope Brian Austin Green on "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" survives the "90210" curse. (Since one "Seinfeld" cast member has been on another TV show for more than one season, I thought the curse onus should be moved elsewhere. And I'm not counting Shannen Dorherty on "Charmed" or Jennie Garth on "What I Liked About You"! Those were WB shows with small followings.)

Side Order not being renewed is a big let down to me.... Not only did I love the writing on this show... but I was so happy to have a show that dealt with cancer in an honest and hopeful way! This is a big mistake !!!!!!I have saved the last episode when she finally found the man on the phone on my tivo waiting for more!!!!!!!!!

SHAME ON YOU LIFETIME!
This program was a breathe of fresh air while dealing with some of the weighty issues. I would rather watch "Side Order of Life" than constantly watching some night stalker, rapist, child abuser, wife beater garbage that you are constantly portraying on your channel! YOU SUCK and THIS DECISION SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really disappointed. Last summer actually had something decent to watch (Side Order and Army Wives). I hope they didn't ax this show to put "State of Mind" back on. Side Order was so much better. I am glad that Army Wives survived, though. At least there are two shows to look forward to Army Wives and The Closer.

IT SUCKS! Ofcourse cable shows are prone to have this done to them particularly on Lifetime. Recall several myster sieres that were good that had short lives here. That is why I have learned not to get as involved with these shows as on the so called "regular" channels, altho they can be pretty nasty to their viewers as well.

Is it me or does Lifetime have commitment issues with their dramas? (At least recently) Since Strong Medicine, Missing, and Division, it seems like the only one to last more than one season is Army Wives. I'm not saying that the others are all award winning, but they are decent. Angela's Eyes, Blood Ties, Side Order of Life, and even quirky State of Mind should have gotten a little more support. The only shows that Lifetime now supports are those silly reality shows. There is a reason people run to cable instead of sticking with broadcast networks.

I really enjoyed this show. Why did they cancel it?

They had three on the same night and only one survived.

The one with Treat Williams was cancelled in midseason.

Lifetime is losing interest for me.
