Oprah's Reality Show Gains Amazing Cred

Oprah Winfrey's production company has enlisted the four-time Emmy-winning Amazing Race's creators, Bert Van Munster (no relation to Herman) and Elise Doganieri, to serve as show-runners for Oprah Winfrey's The Big Give. Ope's first reality-TV venture hands 10 people riches and resources and then they're charged with helping others. The best philanthropist has his or her wildest wish granted — unless of course the wish is for me to cease reporting on Britney Spears.

Who needs Oprah to hand us riches?

Can't we all just visualize them and then *poof* they'll magically appear?

somethingreal81: If you get that to work for you, please let me in on "the secret". Whenever there is a *poof* in my general vicinity, it seems that things disappear!

I could be putting two & two together & getting 5, but it occurred to me that in a previous TV Guide interview, Rob & Amber had referred to a really big upcoming project that they couldn't talk about. Could this be it? After all, they were on Amazing Race twice.

Imzadi, I am hoping that your calculations are off, cause I am sick to death of seeing Rob and Amber, and I would really like to be able to watch this since it is an awesome idea!

Rob and Amber probably will be involved, isn't their job doing reality shows?

Actually Oprah's show sounds like the first reality show I'd love to do. Not into eating bugs - but people, foundations and events I can handle. I can envision my dreams, I've done it all my life. They called it daydreaming when I was young and it got me in trouble a few times. I'd rather have someone give me my dreams - it works faster.

Imzadi, i bet you are right. I read and interview with rob and amber after they left the amazing race and they said their next project is "bigger than Oprah"... or something along those lines.

hmmm... interesting.
