The Office - Season 3 courtesy Universal Studios
The Office's Season 3 set topped the DVD sales chart last week, the first TV-DVD release to accomplish that feat since Lost, Season 2. Georgia Rule was somehow the No. 1 rental.... The Season 1 finale of ABC Family's Greek set a series high in total viewers (1.4 million) and was the cabler's most-watched series telecast ever among adults 18-34 owning beer bongs.... Kohl's has launched a Food Network-branded line of kitchenware.... New York- and Los Angeles-area subscribers to TV Guide will get a Grey's Anatomy hospital gown shrink-wrapped with their Sept. 24 issue. Lacy black panties sold separately.

Georgia Rule was somehow the No. 1 rental. ~MWM

Its in my Netflix queue, AND there's a waiting line for it. I think this is the film LiLo was filming when she got that letter scolding her for her lack of professionalism. So, I guess we all want to see just how good/bad of an acting job she actually did in this flick.

Why only in New York in Los Angeles? It's not as though they pay more for their subscriptions than the rest of us, do they?

"Georgia Rule was somehow the No. 1 rental...."

I'm going to choose to believe that everybody meant to grab Get Shorty, and accidentally reached too far to the left.

That's the only possible explanation I can accept without my head exploding.

I would love to get free stuff in the mail with my TV Guide also....I guess if you do not live in NY or LA you are not important enough to get it. If you do not have enough to send to all of your subscribers, then maybe your should not do it all. I will have to remember this when my subscription comes due in a couple of months.

Matt, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking it's ABC that is putting the hospital gowns in the next TVGuide issue, not TVGuide ponying up swag. I think it's a cute stunt, but I agree it would be nice if everybody got one. Oh well..maybe I'll get my resident hubby to steal me a gown from his hospital and I can pretend.

I protest! I'm a subscriber in Central Missouri and Grey's fan! I want my Grey's hospital gown! Stop sucking up to the celebs and industry types in NYC and LA by comping them with this stuff and leaving the rest of us subscribers high and dry -- especially when we defend the mag and put up with the cranks who are still bitter that TVG isn't a regional digest anymore!

Grr! Arg!

What do the rest of us get? It's bad enough that subscribers have missed out on things that are inserted into the Guide sold at newstands and that news in the Guide is also available here for free, but now TVG is playing favorites.

I would rather you had not announced this and NY and LA subscribers were surprised and I was blissfully ignorant.

Rob, I agree. I wish TVG was still regional. "Local programming" doesn't tell me what's on and not having the listings for during the day I am often wondering what movie I'm watching and hope that it will be announced since I missed the beginning since I didn't know it was going to be on in the first place since those listings are absent from TVG. X-(

But yes, let's make the NY and LA subscribers happy with their paper thin gown. Whatever.

I am in the Los Angeles area and I subscribe to TVG, but I get it online. Will I get a virtual gown? I'm just askin'...
