October Road Bosses to Wrap Up "Epic Love" Story

October Road's Warren Christie and Laura Prepon by Bob D'Amico/ABC
When October Road reached its end last spring, fans weren't the only ones who had a hard time letting go. Co-creator Scott Rosenberg was determined to conclude the series the right way. "We had a small audience, but they genuinely fell in love with these characters, and I feel we owe it not only to them, but also to the cast [to tie up loose ends]," Rosenberg tells TV Guide. So he and co-creators Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec wrote a 15-minute finale called "Don't Look Back: An Epilogue for an Epic Love."

The story will start at the wedding of Hannah (Laura Prepon) and Big Cat (Warren Christie), and then flash forward seven years, where fans will receive answers to most of their remaining questions. The plan is to include the epilogue on the second-season DVD and possibly online.

After two seasons on the Road, even the cast wants closure. "I don't know who Sam's father is, so I am just as excited to find out as the fans are," says Bryan Greenberg (Nick). And although the shooting schedule is still up in the air, there's one thing you can count on, says Lindy Booth (Pizza Girl): "We all love the show, so we'll all be there." — Carita Rizzo

I just hope it's not the Gilmore Girls writers, writing this 15 minute finale.

Woo hoo! Loved this show and was sorry to see it end. I'm glad that the writers are preparing an epilogue. That's the way to do it for the fans, and I'm glad to see that someone still cares about the fans! I wonder why these shows don't seem to work. This type of show about people (October Road, Once & Again, Thirtysomething, etc.) have always been my favorites.

Why are they doing this for October Road, but not Las Vegas? A sgow that;a been on for 2 seasons as compared to a show that has been on for 5 years?

Men In Trees next? I know it won't happen, but I hate thinking about poor Patrick and Annie on the outs for eternity. I thought the creators said they had filmed an ending that would wrap things up, but things only seemed to wrap up for Anne Heche and James Tupper.

All shows (Invasion!) should get a chance to wrap things up.

Because the writers are choosing to do this - it has nothing to do with the networks!

Got all excited, then saw it's only 15 minutes. Give us an hour please!!!!!
I really loved this show. I grew to love all the characters so much (except for the super evil Big Cat!), & was genuinely sad when it was canceled. I'll miss all my guys, & Hannah & Janet. It really was a sweet show.
Why do they keep giving us all this crap & canceling good shows? If I remember correctly, October Road was time shuffled a bit, which I'm sure didn't help it's numbers.

Just like ABC to dump a really good show and leave us hanging.
October Road was not a good show, but a "Great Show". It showed how life really is and just how some small towns in America cope with life.
Too bad ABC doen't have the vision to realize what their viewers really want to see.
October Road had it been given the right spot and on a regualr schedule would have developed into a show that would have been sucessful.
