According to TMZ.com, later today Paris Hilton's 80-proof pal is going to plead guilty or no contest to DUI — her second such bust, for those keeping count. As a result, she will get sentenced to at least five days in the pokey, the minimum for anyone convicted of driving soused twice.

Friday's Today's News was written by Ben Katner.

If you do the crime you got to do the time. It's as "simple" as that. She's smart to get it done and over with before she's any farther along in her pregnancy.

Larry King has the chair already for her and I heard the LA Jailer will have her out before lunch.

I knew Nicole would get less time than Paris. The judge took out on Paris what should have been taken out on the Sherrif. He is the one that let her out.

Watch Lyndsey had cocaine and she will still get less time than Paris.

I'm glad Nicole Richie is pleading guilty, maybe she is one of the few in the group who actually realizes that what she did was wrong and is willing to do the time. I also agree w/ crysd77, it is smart for her to get it over w/ early in her pregnancy (providing that's not a rumor).
Hopefully this stint in jail will be the start to getting the help she needs.

Paris drove while being suspended - twice! Totally different charges.

People really think that Paris was unfairly punished? Come-on people, give it a rest!

Nicole was high and driving on the wrong side of the highway. I'd say that's worse then driving with a suspended license.

Please re-read the article superchick. Nicole hasn't been sentenced yet. She will get sentenced to AT LEAST 5 days in jail.

I'd have to agree with that. Of course, they were both also sloshed at the time, so they are both complete morons.

Isn't it rather amazing that all of these high-profile people are going to jail, and it's met with a *shrug* ? Not long ago it would have been the kiss of death, socially.

Ok people. Grab your pitchforks and start your complaining. Nicole was sentenced to 90 hours in jail and a $2,048 fine.

Driving while Suspended is a more severe offense in the eyes of the law that driving down the wrong side of the road.

As other people have pointed out the situations aren't the same. Regardless of the differences in the crimes the 2 committed there are other differences too. Nicole actually seems to be taking responsibility for her actions while Paris tried to blame everyone around her. I think most judge's would take that into account when handing out a sentence. Also is it actually the same judge in this case? That makes a difference too.

People who take responsibility and plead guilty will ALWAYS receive a less harsh punishment than someone who makes the judge sit through an entire hearing when the judge knows the idiot it making him waste his time. That's just the way our system works.

FOLKS!! The reason Paris had a suspended license (which she drove with twice) is because she got busted PREVIOUSLY for DUI--so she had charges on top of what Richie had! Get the facts!!

At least Richie can stay in that fancy halfway house Paris PROMISED to build for released inmates....she did keep her promises, didn't she?!?<img border=">

What a shocker. She only has to spend 4 days in jail & pay a fine that amounts to pocket change for that spoiled brat. She could've killed a bunch of people, and the sentence she got is supposed to be justice??
