Nice View: Whoopi Officially Replaces Rosie

Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck by Steve Fenn/ABC

All I can say is, I hope Goldberg is on stronger antidepressants than O'Donnell, because Barbara Walters announced that she was Elisabeth Hasselbeck's official counterpoint on yesterday's episode of the ABC chatfest. OK, so she didn't use exactly those words. But, given the Oscar winner's stance on el presidente, you know it's true.

Meanwhile, we're still waiting (and hoping) to hear that Less Than Perfect funny lady Sherri Shepherd has been picked to fill at least part of Star Jones Reynolds' long-empty seat.

You're hoping to hear Sherri Shepherd is added to the view??? Are you on drugs? She's prejudiced against gays and uses her religion as an excuse.

Is she really prejudice or does she stand by her faith? Just because she doesn't agree with it, does not mean that she is prejudice. Hating someone for color/sexual orientation makes you prejudice. I like Sherri Shepard. I think she is hilarious. I hope she does make it on the View. ....hey wait a minute. How prejudice could she be when she's on Ellen all the time?

She said on the view that her religion tells her that homosexuality is unnatural and a sin but she doesn't "hate" gays-- btw, you can be prejudice and still be on Ellen.

Sherry Shepherd is firmly planted - in 1957. I will never watch the show again if she's on it regularly. Short bursts of her are all I can take. Whoopi is safe, but I like Whoopi. I'll watch again occasionally with her.
