News Flash: Smallville Alum to Play Comic Hero

Eric Johnson, best known to Smallville fans as Clark's onetime nemesis, Whitney Fordman, has landed the lead in Flash Gordon, Sci Fi Channel's upcoming 22-hour series offering a contemporary take (sorry, Queen) on the comic strip-inspired adventures of the titular hero and fellow space travelers Dale Arden and Dr. Hans Zarkov. Production starts May 1, with Smallville's Rick Rosenthal directing.

Matt. Speaking of Sci-Fi shows (and I know this is random and there might not be an answer), have you ever heard anything about the Star Wars live-action show that was promised after Episode III? It is supposed to take place in between III and VI, but not focus on any of the main characters from the movies. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks, Pat
