"New" View Ratings Are Rosier than Rosie's

Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd of The View by Steve Fenn/ABC

ABC's latest incarnation of The View, featuring Whoopi Goldberg as moderator and Sherri Shepherd as a gabber, thus far is averaging 3.5 million total viewers, a seven percent increase from the 3.3 mil who were tuning in to the Rosie-run edition a year ago.

Though the talker got off to a slow start this season — Whoopi drew a million fewer than O'D did on her first day — with Shepherd in place in its second week, it bested Ro by 400,000 heads.

Gee...I wonder if Rosie's first day saw higher ratings because we hadn't seen her on there, whereas no one cared about tuning in to Whoopi's first day since we'd seen her during the summer already. We all love Rosie but that's not exactly the best way to spin those numbers...sounds a little desperate.

I'm so glad I can watch The View again. I just can't stand Rosie, on anything, but she was particulary awful on The View. Although, they talk over each other a little much. Sometimes it is hard to follow with everyone talking at once. And that gets a little old. But overall, I'm loving it. Keep up the good work ladies!!

Wow...good for them! Now imagine how much higher the ratings would go if they dumped that idiotic, no talent moron Elizabeth as well. The ratings would go through the roof!

I love Whoopi and Sherri, but you should have fired Elizabeth and kept Rosie. Then with Joy and Barbara the show would have been "The Greatest Show on Earth".

I cannot stand Elizabeth. She is a poor excuse for a human being. Keep up the great work Whoopi in putting her down every chance you get. And Joy I saw you get her the other day. Big hats off to you too. Barbara, I thought you were going to slap her yesterday, I wished you would have.

After I watch the show, I am so angry at Elizatbeth, I want to come through the TV and choke her. All she is - is a spoiled little rich brat that has grown up to a spoiled rich bitch.

The View has greatly improved since Whoopi arrived as the new moderator but Sherri......not sure about her, just babbles, no real content to what she says. I wasn't a Rosie fan but can you imagine Whoopi and Rosie on the show together.
