"The Dark is Rising" is a great, great book and a darned good book series as well (all by Susan Cooper). I really hope the movie lives up to the novel AND it finds as much success as other novel-turned-movie franchises. But I doubt it.

I find it interesting that most of the projects Christopher Eccleston gets involved with are things I would want to watch anyway. I've seen stills of him from The Dark Is Rising and he looks amazing!
