NBC to Name New Today Team Tomorrow

NBC is expected to announce on Tuesday that Ann Curry, Natalie Morales and Hoda Kotb will cohost the fourth hour of Today, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter. This added hour of the morning show, premiering Sept. 11, has been cleared in some 96 percent of the country and will air at 10 am/ET in most markets.

Today proper's Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira will be MIA from the ~~over~~extended portion, save for Lauer appearing briefly at the top of the hour to turn the show over to the new team.

PLEASE PLEASE Do not have Anne Curry doing interviews. She only interviews herself - NEVER gives interviewees a chance to answer a question. Worst interviewer on TV. When I see her about to start I grab for my remote!!!

So I guess eventually Today will just be on all day till The Nightly News starts, right? Sounds like a fiendish take-over plot if you ask me. Are you sure Sylar isn't producing Today?

I cant believe NBC canceled Passions to add a 4th hour of the Today show. I refuse to watch the 4th hour of the Today show.

In many markets, this will be up against The View. I'll be curious to see how NBC and ABC's all women's hours will do head-to-head.

I love Ann Curry! She is no more guilty of interrupting her interviewees than Matt Lauer is. Matt never lets anyone that he's interviewing complete a sentence.

Ann Curry is so overly dramatic that I just can't watch her. If she is doing a serious interview, she gets very breathy, reaches over and touches people, and has her "concerned" look. She doesn't interview people like a reporter, instead she comes off like an actress-and a bad one at that.

Given the relatively low cost of expanding an existing show, I'm sure they'll keep expanding the show until it reaches 6 hours.
