« Today's News: Our Take
Murder Club Kills Men in Trees' Momentum
Women's Murder Club by Gale Adler/ABC
ABC has set an April 29 return date for Women's Murder Club, which has three fresh episodes to burn off. WMC's Tuesday-at-10 time slot effectively bumps Boston Legal to Wednesdays at 10 as of April 30, which in turn trims Men in Trees from the network's schedule for several weeks.
Trees is expected to resume its oft-resuming second season on Wednesday, May 28.
What's your take? The same sad story for Trees, or did it not have any "momentum" to lose?

What absolute Morons! These jerks piss and moan about MIT ratings but keep pulling it from the TV line-up for weeks, if not months, and expect us not to waiver and get extremely frustrated!!! Maybe if they got their heads out of their collective asses they could find a clue about what the audience really wants! (sorry to readers but very frustrated MIT fan here!)

Don't watch Men in Trees. Do watch Women's Murder Club. Glad WMC is coming back; hope it gets a new season. Sorry about MIT; I do feel your pain as I've been there with other shows.

mmph...I feel your pain. I get frustrated with them too, pulling shows that supposedly aren't getting good ratings, but the reason they don't get good ratings is because they don't keep them on at a set time. I mean it'll be on for a few weeks on one day, then the next few weeks it'll be off, then back on, but on another day & another time. I swear, no wonder no one watches it. I'm getting fed up with it as well. YOU SAID IT!

More evidence BOSTON LEGAL is the show from Ausiello's blind item recently. ABC clearly wants to kill the show, and if it doesn't perform well on Wednesday, they'll use that as an excuse to dump it.

I totally agree with you! ABC execs are being total a$$holes! Its ridiculous the way they are treating MIT! It is a terrific show and just because its Waner Bros and NOT ABC is not an excuse for this. UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE! I feel bad for everyone involved in this wonderful show! ABC is really showing their true colors with how DISRESPECTFUL they are treating MIT.

This is ridiculous the way they keep jerking MIT's schedule around. I love this show but don't see much chance of it getting renewed when viewers can't find it half the time. No wonder the ratings for it are down. Get a clue ABC!. I have watched Murder Club in the past but I won't be watching it this time around. ABC sucks.

What's with all the bumping around, and how are people who don't frequent this site supposed to keep up? If it weren't for Tivo keeping track for me, I sometimes think I'd give up watching TV.

Yes, it's very frustrating to see your favorite shows get pulled off the air when it's the network's policies (long haituses, frequently moving shows to different days of the week) that cause ratings to go down. MIT is one of my favorites and they've moved it to Friday night which is essentially the graveyard for shows. CBS did the same thing with Jericho....and then they blame the viewers for the shows supposed lack of success. And networks wonder why they are losing viewers...what's the point of watching new shows when the networks aren't willing to put faith in what they produce.

I am so happy about WMC. I love this show and am so thrilled that they are airing it, period. Of course, if it wasn't for TIVO I wouldn't have been able to keep up for when it has aired in the first place. I feel for the MIT fans, no doubt about it you guys have been jerked around right from the beginning with this show.

Don't forget that you can watch past eps of MIT online free at ABC.com - it'll give you a MIT fix and also show the net that the fans love the show.

My hunch is that ABC has already made its mind up about Men In Tree (and possibly Boston Legal). They think there could be some momentum building for Women's Murder Club, so they want to give it the best shot for sweeps.
I'm sorry to see Boston Legal on its way out, because I really enjoy it every week. Men In Trees I watch, but it's not a favorite of mine. Since the ratings have always been soft for the show, I would be surprised if it survived to another season.

I am so happy about WMC. I am reading 7th heaven (WMC 7th book) right now and it is awesome.
I read on tvguide.com that WMC is coming back April 7 but I am glad it April 29. A little more time to make sure that these 3 eps. are quality so that this great show can be back for a 2nd season.

I'm so sick of ABC and what they do with MIT. I love the show. I really wanted to get into WMC because I love the books but I can not stand the blonde girls (Laura Harris I believe is her name) acting, I tried but couldn't do it.

While I'm glad for WMC, I'm pissed about MIT. ABC obviously doesn't like MIT. They keep jerking us around with the weird schedule. Why don't they just put us out of our misery and cancel MIT, instead of disrespecting the show and its fans?
ABC, grow a pair and make a final decision about MIT.
