Over The Hills? Hardly! Show Hits Ratings High
The Hills courtesy MTV
Monday night's episode of The Hills — the first of Season 3's eight bonus episodes — averaged 4.8 million total viewers, the MTV series' largest audience ever for a single episode. The Hills also hit an all-time high in its 12-34 target demo, and in fact was Monday's best-delivering prime-time program in that regard.
And that's just counting the kiddies who watched it old-school-style on TV! On Tuesday, MTV.com served up 1.8 million streams of the episode, a 29 percent increase from Season 3's opener.
Me? I believe you can "watch" the series simply by scanning magazine cover lines at the Hudson News newsstand. — MWM

I'm 24 and I'll fully admit to waiting anxiously to find out about Paris and Brody...but not Spencer/Heidi drama.
And I know a lot of other people who were equally excited!

RENTheadMandy - I'm 29 and I admit to being bouncy all day Monday waiting to see how Paris went and what was up with Brody! Although, shamefully, I was also looking forward to seeing what was up with Heidi/Spencer - I can't stand either of them and yet I'm addicted to watching them screw up left and right!

I'm in my 50's and love the show. It's fun watching Lauren and her friends. I went to school with Brody's dad so that's weird to see his son on TV (and Bruce on that Kardashian show... a little too much Botox, Bruce). Really wish Heidi would quit with the whole Spencer thing. She needs to grow up because I really think she'd find herself if she was out from under his smothering, self-centered personality. Or, maybe not... maybe they're truly a good fit. Now that would be sad.

Lots of people I know watch this show. But not because its that great...its just so easy to watch on the MTV site and is somewhat interesting for 20 minutes that its on. Good thing to do when you taking a break from studying, etc.

24 and an unabashed fan! Yes, like karaleefan says, it's a nice little break. 20 minutes of escapist television into the psuedo-scripted lives of pretty (funny, smart, vapid, interesting, boring, mean, cool, etc.) people.
I'm actually starting to like Heidi more than Lauren. I feel like Heidi has learned from her mistakes (though she is still with Spencer so maybe I spoke too soon) but Lauren just keeps doing the same stupid things over and over again.
