At the Movies: Who Woos Cruise Next?
Tom Wilkinson, Pirates of the Carribean's Bill Nighy, The Riches' Eddie Izzard and classically trained theater vet Carice Van Houten (as Tom Cruise's love interest) have joined the cast of Bryan Singer's Valkyrie, a fact-based account of German generals' plot to assassinate Hitler during WWII.... Jack Black is a schoolteacher who discovers he has witchlike abilities, then (unwittingly) joins an all-girls coven in Man-Witch.... Wild Hogs director Walt Becker is at work on a sequel to the wildly successful comedy.

My favorite line: "A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Man-Witch is a meal!"

"A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Man-Witch is a meal!" - topoopon
Funny!
* Valkyrie has me intrigued, especially with the addition of these new cast members.
* Jack Black's particular brand of "comedy" just gives me the shakes. He ranks only slightly above Dane Cook on my hierarchy of funny people.
* As soon as that god-awful Wild Hogs beat the well-reviewed Zodiac on its opening weekend, I suspected that there would have to be a sequel. But, until now, I was living in a sort of blissful denial that it was a certainty. Now that beautiful dream has been shattered.
