Per Variety, Lauren Graham and Greg Kinnear are wife and husband in Flash of Genius, a drama about — and I do not kid you — the inventor of the intermittent windshield wiper and how years of legal woes suffocated his marriage.... Patrick Wilson is joining Sam Jackson and Kerry Washington in Lakeview Terrace, a thriller about an interracial couple harassed by a racist LAPD officer.... Per the Reporter, Mischa Barton is (well, duh) the most popular girl at a Catholic high school and Rumer Willis is her best gal pal in the dark comedy The Sophomore, pegged as a teen take on Chinatown. Rumer's dad, Bruce, plays the principal.... Vivica A. Fox will star in Three Can Play That Game, a sequel to 2001's Two Can Play That Game (aka "Zero Can Remember It").

Mischa and Rumer? That's going to be the party shoot of the year.

Your headline gave me a start, Matt. I thought you were saying Lauren Graham got married, for real, and I imagined Ausiello having a heart attack or something because he didn't get an "exclusive" on it. ;\

I've been going through Lauren withdrawal, so I'm anxiously awaiting a screen of Evan Almighty tomorrow morning! :) And I think Lauren and Greg will make a good couple! Premise sounds...novel. I wonder if they'll have a baby and name it Squeegee!

I remember hearing about Robert Kearns, said inventor, and thinking someone would take the story and run with it. If you think about it, the greatest inventions are the ones that become so endemic to daily life that we don't even think about giving them their due. And who doesn't like a tale of "little man with big idea gets crushed by ginormous corporation"? Think I'll rent Tucker, the Man and his Machine this weekend. Now that dude was way ahead of his time.
