Okay, so Speed Racer is going to date his sister Trixie? Do the writer's on this movie have daytime soap credits on their resumes? Just wondering.

Edward Norton as the Hulk? Really? REALLY?!
Anyway, can't wait for Speed Racer. I had the blanket.

I like Edward Norton as an actor, but to play Bruce Banner? It doesn't seem like a good fit. As much as I didn't like Eric Banna as the Hulk, I'm not so sure this is a better choice.

Eric wasn't absolutly horrible. The Hulk's mild alter-ego is a difficult one to peg. I'm not so sure that I can get excited about Norton playing the part. Speed Racer, I will be completely bummed if it isn't 110% hokey.

Interesting. So this time they've decided to go with someone who has charisma. Bold.

They can remake Nine as a film, but only if Antonio Banderas stars. He was awesome in the Roundabout Theater version.

There was nothing wrong with Eric Bana. The problem (besides the Hulk-dogs and the length) was with the CGI Hulkster. Lou was more realistic with the green body makeup.

Ed Norton's casting: Great!
Had no problem w/Eric Bana, however. It was definitely more an Ang Lee problem.
I hope they just don't have that stupid looking, CGI, ten-story high Hulk leaping around.. please.

There goes my interest in the Hulk sequel. I'm no fan of Norton's, but he's also too old, too homely and even too tall for the part and I can't imagine identifying with him as a tortured hero. Has Hollywood run out of short, slightly-built leading men who can get the audience's sympathy? Obviously, the best Bruce Banner would be T.R. Knight. Now that would be a movie I'd want to see.

jcdj0525, re: what is Nine about... now there's a tough one. In short, it's about an Italian director's midlife crisis and the gorgeous women who distract him / inspire him. Rent 8 1/2. That's what it's based on.
Rosewood, you really liked Antonio on Broadway? He looked gorgeous and sounded OK but I thought his performance was very ineffectual. I know all he's supposed to do is brood but I felt all that moodiness quashed his charisma. I wish I could have seen Raul Julia!
