Mathieu Amalric, who plays a paralyzed stroke victim in the awards fave The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, will play the villain in Bond 22, the next 007 adventure, says Variety.... The domestic box office for all of 2007 totaled a record $9.62 billion, a five percent gain over the year prior and a two percent improvement on the previous record-holder, 2002. Actual ticket sales, though, were only up a percent from '06 and actually down from '02.... Sean Penn will head the jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
