Dancing with the Stars by Kelsey McNeal/ABC
This Monday's numbers, at a glance:
8 pm/ET Dancing with the Stars kicked off its seventh season with a slew of new stars and a slew of eyeballs, dominating the hour and night with 21.12 million viewers. The number is on par with last season's two-hour premiere, which delivered 21.2 million. CBS' The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother held steady for second, averaging 9.5 million for the hour. Big Bang fell 2 percent to 9.4 million, while HIMYM gained over a million viewers for 9.7 million.
9 pm The 10-month wait for a two-hour Heroes premiere didn't whet many people's appetites as the double-header averaged just 9.9 million. By comparison, last year's one-hour opener scored 14.12 million. On the other hand, Two and a Half Men enjoyed a nice 10 percent bump to 14.9 million.
10 pm CBS held onto the lead with CSI: Miami, pulling in 16.9 million (up from last year's 14.8 million), while Boston Legal entered its final season on a much slower note, falling nearly a million from last year to 9.4 million.
