Fresh from the CW:

"International supermodel Paulina Porizkova has joined the CW's America's Next Top Model Cycle 10 as a new panel judge, where she will conduct regular weekly evaluations of Top Model participants. 'We are thrilled to have Paulina as a part of this cycle’s judging panel. The show and participants will benefit a great deal from her vast modeling knowledge and expertise,' says executive producer Ken Mok.

"Twiggy, who has been a part of America's Next Top Model since Cycle 5, is leaving due to scheduling conflicts. 'We wish her well in her endeavors,' says Mok, 'and hope to collaborate with her in future cycles of ANTM as well as other projects.'"

This is a good move. Twiggy was okay her first season, but has been growing very stale. She didn't even act like she wanted to be on the show this season. Let's hope Paulina adds something to show, though I doubt it. Tyra's going to pick the worst of the bunch like she always does. They need someone to get in her face and explain that mall brats are not getting hired and haven't been for quite some time.

I'm so sad to see Twiggy leave she was so sweet! And not to the point where it got in the way of her judging. I'll miss her but I welcome the newbie!!

She is kind of blah, but probably the nicest of the panel.

I miss the Janice Dickinson days! She was crude and often times mean, but more times than not, she was dead on in her commentary about the girls. She shows a different side on her Oxygen-network show, although she can still be the person we've seen on ANTM.

They couldn't come up with a better fake reason than "scheduling conflicts?" I guess that's what happens when the writers go on strike.

Hey Mooshki: Your post made me chuckle. I'm sure they wanted to release "she's boring as hell," but the PR people probably went ape sh*t, so they were left with "scheduling conflicts."

bluefairies ~ I'm with you ~ Nobody (including Tyra) could do it better than Janice. She was mean sometimes but she did give actual real advice.

I like Twiggy but it will be interesting for the models to get advice from a younger, more recent model.

Eh, it doesn't matter who is on panel as long as Tyra is there. The only girls whoever seem to get work are the ones who don't win. Janice was rude but she knew what she was talking about. Paulina is supposed to be funny and direct and not as enamored of the biz as is TyTy but that won't help either. Miss Jay and Nigel add nothing either with Nigel just parroting Tyra once it's obvious who she wants to win.

Not knowing anything about Paulina Porizkova, I will have to reserve my thoughts until later. All I know now is that I will sorely miss Twiggy. She brings a softer side to the panel in addition to many years of modeling and living experience. I so hope that she'll come back after her scheduling conflicts are solved.
