Mischa Barton: Welcome to the O.R., Bit... Er, Miss
Mischa Barton by Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage.com
Somebody really ought to tell Mischa Barton that she isn't playing Marissa Cooper anymore: TMZ.com reports that the O.C. alum was rushed to an L.A. hospital after mixing booze with antibiotics. Apparently, the wafer-thin ingenue came down with bronchitis while jet-setting around Europe recently, hence the medication. And then, since she's a rich, young starlet, she allegedly downed a few, hence the adverse reaction. Hollywood's golden rule, sugar: Never mix (drugs and drink), never worry.

Perez Hilton has an interesting defenition of Antibiotics and Alcohol. Why does this not shock me in the least. Who is going to be the one to wake up these silly little girls before one of them dies?

Which one falls the hardest first? Paris, Linsday, or Mischa? Only time will tell but MB's got an OD under her belt, LiLo's got Coke and a Sycamore around her bumper, and Paris will be someone's b*tch in prison. It's a tough race so far...

Its really rather sad that none of these children have parents who taught them responsibility - or any thing else about living responsibly. When they start believing they are above the law of man - and laws of chemistry - there's no one around to say stop. I've always believed that Elvis would be around today if someone had just said NO to him. These kids should learn from him - or maybe River Phoenix, if Elvis is too old an example for them.
Maybe they saw that old movie when John Garfield(?) says: "Live fast, die young, make a good looking corpse."

Sadly these celebudrunks were only 7 or 8 when River Phoenix died so he will not be an example to use. I work with some folks that are in their early 20s and they've heard of River but know nothing about him. These vacuous young ladies are bound to be the new example for their generation to learn from. Sad but true.

This whole generation of celebutantes seems to be sadly lacking in common sense, resposibility, and any sort of parental concern or guidance. I hope fervently for all of them that they get some help and some perspective- and grow up.

A message to all Starlets and Starlots (that's what a male starlet is - right?) - It's only an illusion of immortality, being in your business, I mean. You really can die when doing these stupid things, you know?

Sadly this isn't just a Hollywood thing. There's plenty of young knuckheads out there who are too "stupid" to realize that, yes, no one is immortal, we all die. None of you are going to be the first immortal being to walk the planet. So quit mixing toxic chemicals and ingesting them! You aren't in preschool. You know better!!
There was a study done a while back that proved that teens (I suppose young adluts count, too) do know better, they just like the rush from trying to get away with these types of things. I love when they get caught!
