Exclusive: Kevin Sorbo Comes in from the Cold

Lest there be any doubt that The Middleman is deserving of some sci-fi/adventure geek cred, Kevin Sorbo of Andromeda and Hercules fame has been tapped to guest-star in the Aug. 11 episode of the brand-new ABC Family series.

How cool is that, you ask? Let me tell you just how cool : Sorbo will be playing a 1969 Middleman who had been cryogenically frozen a la Austin Powers — though hopefully boasting better teeth. The retro problem-solver is thawed out when his old arch nemesis, The Candle, resurfaces in the present day and vexes Matt Keeslar's own Middleman.

I haven't tried The Middleman, but I'm sure going to watch Kevin's episode. I miss him terribly on my TV!

The Middleman was entertaining, silly and funny. I think Kevin Sorbo will only make it even more enjoyable.

I watch alot of ScFi and I was shocked that ABCFamuily would have such a good show as Middleman. It was witty and very fast. I couldn't believe how fast the actors threw out their lines. It also had some mild cursing that shocked me on the Family channel. I already set my PVR for the season. Its as fast as Psych (my favorite) and Burn Notice. The cable channel seem to be the only channel with new ideas. The show would have fit on USA or ScFi.

Kevin Sorbo was one of the people responsible for turning Roddenberry's Andromeda into a piece of frak. I'm sure other genre fans just love watching him everywhere he turns up too.

Thanks for the heads up, at least now I know so I can skip the episode.

This does sound interesting! I have yet to watch this series,so I'll have to check it out to see what it is like. Kevin Sorbo is my favorite actor,so I will definitely be watching his episode when it airs!

Cool! I haven't checked out The Middleman yet, but I heard good things about the show.

And, seeing how I love seeing Kevin Sorbo in most things I've seen him in (heck, he was the best part of Meet the Spartans!), I may have to check this out!

I watched The Middleman and also was shocked that it was on ABC Family. How come? It was ok..hoping it will get better. Haven't seen Kevin Sorbo much since I don't know when..but usually like him.
