Michael J. Fox Calls Rush's Rant "Funny"

Funny strange, funny ha-ha, or funny like Skippy? In a Thursday interview with CBS Evening News' Katie Couric, Michael J. Fox dismissed Rush Limbaugh's claim that the Parkinson's-afflicted actor exaggerated his symptoms — perhaps even went off his medication — for a political TV ad advocating stem-cell research. "The irony is that I was too medicated," Fox said, "[and] not by design. It kicks in when it kicks in. That's funny, the notion that you could 'calculate it' for effect. Would that we could."

So why did he admit in his book that he went off his meds when he went before Congress? He's been known to do this for effect before by his own admission. Very interesting...

My grandmother lived with Parkinson's disease for over 10 years before she died and I can tell you that it is a malicious disease, even more malicious than Rush Limbaugh if that is possible. When you are off medication, it's bad. When you are on medication, it's bad in all new and different ways. The medication is time release, so it is completely unpredictable as to when it will kick in in your system. It is incredibly difficult to moderate your medication. Michael J. Fox is incredibly brave to show all of us what it is like to live in a body that is betraying you more every day. On or off meds makes no difference to me. Everyone should know what Parkinson's looks like. May God bless Michael and his family. We are incredibly close to either curing Parkinson's or making it much more manageable for its sufferers to live with, if only we could do more stem-cell research.

Believe it or not but I am a Republican and I say Go Michael and shame on you Rush. I don't care if Michael did exaggerate his symptoms - leave him alone. Rush will gain nothing but trouble by lashing out on a good person like Michael J. Fox who is doing his best to expose this terrible disease and help find its cure! Go stem cell research!

Rush Limbaugh is a putz. He's an admitted OxyContin abuser, SUPPOSEDLY been in treatment for it. I don't understand WHY anybody still listens to him! (Wasn't he suppose to be going deaf or blind or something?) The dribble that falls from his mouth is useless so I don't pay any attention to his rantings.

Mr. Fox is a very brave individual, he has shown the world such courage. I am voting Amendment 2 in Missouri. I thank Mr. Fox for caring about Missourians!

It is curious that anyone would even listen to the blatherings of an overweight drug abuser like Mr. Limbaugh.
