Mel Gibson Feels Slurring Seinfelder's Pain
Mel Gibson, recently vilified himself for spouting racial slurs, identifies and sympathizes with Seinfeld's Michael Richards, whose epithet-laden rant landed him in his own pot of hot water. (I know, shocker, right?) "I feel really badly for the guy," Gibson tells Entertainment Weekly. "He was obviously in a state of stress. You don't need to be inebriated to be bent out of shape. But my heart went out to the guy." Speaking of ridicule and inebriation....

My mother suggested a Mea Culpa tour to include Mel, Michael, The Pope, anyone else who has embarrassed themselves. Or maybe a reality show with them all making heartfelt pleas for forgiveness and a panel of people voting on who gets tossed out.

How about Mel, Michael and Danny DeVito as the [Clutch hips, turn head and cough] Three Amigos?

What did Danny DeVito do that he needs to apologize for?
Oops. Never mind. It helps if I read all the news before commenting.

Danny Devito does not fit in the same catagory as Gibson and Richards. He was just drunk on the View, it's not like he said anything racist.
By the way at least Richards isn't using a stupid excuse like drinking to explain his actions. He is however full of it for saying he is not a racist. I heard what he said, and you don't say those things if you are not a racist. This goes for Mel too, drinking or just being heckled doesn't make you a racist. You wouldn't have said those things if you didn't believe them.
I have totally written off the both of them. Those apologies were insincere, they never really took responiblity for what they said. I don't plan on ever seeing anything the ever do from now on.

"You don't need to be inebriated to be bent out of shape..."
Just has to get that whole "but I'm an alcoholic - you MUST forgive me for hating the Jews" dig in there somewhere, doesn't he?
TOOL.

And I suppose none of you have ever said anything rude, hurtful, insensitive, or obscene to or about anyone. Give me a break.

We live in a world where we throw away people too quickly. I hope most of the posters here never end up on a jury. Obviously the concepts of forgiveness and mercy are foreign to you. However, your supposed ability to read minds and people's intent is so keen it amazes me. What was said was wrong on both parts. Driving drunk was worse. So, if these two can't be redeemed and should be thrown away forever, I guess none of us ever will be forgiven. What a culture!
