Move Over, Martina McBride: Dolly Parton's Punchin' the Clock Again

Dolly Parton by Rick Diamond/WireImage.com
Sorry, folks, but no way was I sticking an item about the adorable Dolly Parton in the same section as an item about the deplorable Marilyn Manson. After working "9 to 5" all these years, she deserves her own headline, dagnabbit. So what's the story? In February, for the first time in nearly 20 years, she's releasing a mainstream country album, which she'll follow up with a world tour. No bluegrass. No folk. It's gonna be heaven! Faith Hill, you've been warned.

I searched your posts to find this other item regarding the "deplorable" Marilyn Manson and found nothing. What exactly makes him "deplorable", anyway? His ambigous looks? His music not to your taste? His willingness to actually say what he feels regardless of what others may think of him and his views?

Just wondering.

How about his inabiity to pay his band members, StupidGroundhog. Just to start things off.

Good for you, Ben. Giving Dolly her own item shows taste.

So glad to hear this! I just LOVE Dolly! And thanks for giving her her own headline. I probably would have missed it if it had been in with Manson and Keith Richards, since I skimmed past those since they are not my type of music, or person.....
