Love Notes: Divorce Final for Grey's Star

Per Us Weekly, Sandra Oh's divorce from writer-director Alexander Payne, with whom she did Sideways, was finalized on Dec. 21. The couple wed Jan. 1, 2003, and Oh filed for divorce 15 months later.... American Idol Carrie Underwood is dating Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, says In Touch.... Kate Moss and on-again/off-again beau Pete Doherty may tie the knot this week in London, reports the U.K.'s Daily Mail. Now, I'm just spitballing here, but... maybe a honeymoon in Colombia?

Hey Matt. Totally unrelated, but I was just at ABC's site and they've put up episodes of What About Brian and Brothers & Sisters, but have TAKEN DOWN all of the Daybreak episodes that were online already. What is going on??

Well, they have booked Grandmaster Flash for the reception....

I was just at ABC's site and they've... TAKEN DOWN all of the Daybreak episodes that were online already. What is going on??

Either the music rights quagmire has bitten existing episodes in the arse as well, or we've all been snowed. Dollars to donuts the ABC rep is on vacay, but I'll poke around.... Online streaming may not be the idyllic retreat for axed shows that we all hoped.

ABC has removed all of DayBreak's on line episodes-what's with this?? I thought they would be putting the unaired episodes online!!! This is unbelievable.

The original line in the story isn't NEARLY as offensive as the ones that followed in the blogosphere! Don't you people know I've made a New Year's Resolution to cut down on my groaning in '07! I would HATE to have to stop reading these usually delightful posts!

I'm still finding Day Break episodes, only the last two televised though, from 11/29 and 12/6. I was under the impression they'd put the unshown episodes on the internet as well. If they don't it sucks! You'd think with all the crap on cable TV they could find somewhere to televise these unused episodes. It was the same thing with Kidnapped on NBC, but, at least they're putting them up every Friday, or you can view older episodes on YouTube. I'm tired of these idiot suits who can't figure out how to write a program and bring it to a conclusion if it doesn't get enough viewers. Then it becomes a miniseries and would have some value in reruns on cable. But these short sided fools can only see one way to do anything and that's why network TV is dooming itself. I guess there are just too few smart people in network TV anymore!

So at Kate and Pete's reception I assume there will be line dancing and they'll be cutting more then just the cake?

It's a shame ABC backpeddled on Daybreak, but one possible reason is maybe they're planning to release it on DVD and think only making the rest of the episodes available that way will sell more DVDs and maximize their return. In the end the networks are about making money NOT satisfying viewers desires. The 2 don't always go hand-in-hand and when they don't money wins as it appears in this case.
