Lohan Admits Addictions, to Serve a (Full!) Day in Jail

Looks like someone could have used Nicole "82 Minutes Served" Richie's attorney.

Lindsay Lohan on Thursday accepted a plea deal in her back-to-back DUI cases that will find her serving 36 months of probation, attending an 18-month alcohol-awareness program and serving one-fourth of a 96-hour jail sentence. Oh, and she needs to keep her freckled bum in rehab for another 30 days. Copping to her condition, LiLo said in a statement, "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty."

Answering for the paltry 24-hour jail sentence, a prosecutor insisted Lohan was shown no preferential treatment — and then announced an eBay auction of a bridge in Brooklyn.

Well, that's a step in the right direction. Before, she was blaming this on everybody else, including her evidently terrified passengers. If she's sincere, she's got a good chance at reestablishing her career.

please, she's not taking responsibility. it's a plea bargain- she did it knowing she didn't stand a chance against the courts. what a load of bull.

I guess she was right, she can get away with anything. Let's see what the third time conviction does to her.

So she finally got a publicist who explained to her in small enough for her to understand that blaming everyone else doesn't play well in the press?

Lindsay is the one who should have done a couple of days in jail. As it stands, she'll just go to another resort/spa like rehab, and who knows whether she'll have beat her addictions. I don't believe people should be put in jail for motor vehicle offenses, but Lindsay's behavior went far past that when she terrorized the mother of her ex-assistant by chasing her WHILE she was apparently high and drunk. Paris should never have gotten the sentence she did for just driving with a suspended license. Even Nicole was going the wrong way down the highway. I'd say that was a tad dangerous, don't ya think? So the worst one of the bunch - Lindsay - gets to squirm out of another mess. It figures.

All this is really depressing - Are there ANY laws that get enforced in SoCal? How stupid do you have to be to believe that this isn't special treatment? If that were the case, and if this is the way the commoners in California are judged, then the jails there would all be empty. If Lindsay's name were "Rosita", and she was living in East LA, she would be so far into the system that she would be one of those inmates Paris Hilton was so afraid to meet.
I hope to God that Michael Vick doesn't get a change of venue from Virginia to California.

Does everything in LaLaLand have to be phony? I mean, we aren't fooled out here in the rest of the country. We know this is BS - do they think we're so stupid we will believe their spin? If they authorities aren't going to punish them really then why do it at all?

Man I would love to see the odds in Vegas for her breaking her 3 month probation! Sounds like a sure-thing to me!

Enough of this BS, let's give these law breakers some time that they will remember, all this time just gives these celebs. and their friends a good laugh. The DA's office should look for new jobs, because they aren't doing to good in their present rolls as law enforcers.
