Lindsay Lohan's father is avoiding her nude photos - Today's News: Our Take

While Dina Lohan has already weighed in on her daughter's nude photo shoot (note: photos contain partial nudity), Lindsay Lohan's dad is specifically (and smartly) staying away from them.

Michael Lohan told Us, "I'm not going to look at the photos — that's my daughter!" That being said, the star's dad, who's had a tough relationship with his daughter in the past, said, "Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career." He also praised her being chosen by the photographer for the Marilyn Monroe re-creation, calling it "an amazing thing." He did add, "I pray there are no parallels to her and Marilyn Monroe’s destiny."

Considering that Monroe died of a drug overdose in her thirties, it's good to see that Mr. Lohan has some perspective — as does, it seems, his daughter (not a moment too soon). Blog gossip aside, in the shoot's accompanying interview, she asserts her distance from the fate of her muse: "I sure as hell wouldn't let [an overdose] happen to me." — Anna Dimond

Well, at least that's better than Joe Simpson who would have been the one to suggest this shoot for one of his girls and picked out the "outfits" and who probably would have been the creative director of the shoot (and thus on set).

"I sure as hell wouldn't let [an overdose] happen to me." I'm sure Mr. Ledger, Mr. Phoenix, and many others thought the exact same thing. Hence the problem with doing drugs; they usually have the final say.

I'm sure there will be plenty more nude pictures of her in the future. I love how he says she knows the direction she wants to take her career. Hence my first comment. I would love to know if LL still thinks it was a good idea since most people thought the pics were __________________. Fill in the blank.

I am mystified as to how a young woman who is neither ugly nor out of shape can look so utterly awful. And I don't mean her body so much as her face-old beyond her years, she reminded me of the prostitute Winston Smith encountered in 1984. The book. Not the movie.
