Lindsay Lohan a Pretty Good Bet to Join Ugly Betty?

Lock up the liquor — and hide that cute Eric Mabius, too. (Can't be too careful.) Hopefully reformed party animal Lindsay Lohan is in talks to join Ugly Betty for three episodes, playing a former high-school classmate of Betty's who manages the fast-food joint where our heroine's pop punches the clock, sources tell the New York Observer. Natch, good-hearted Betty will try to give LiLo a leg up with a gig at "Mode."

When TVGuide.com asked ABC about the buzz, they issued a firm "No comment," which to my thinking is the next best thing to a "Yes, it's true! Isn't this exciting?!" — Ben Katner

Seriously? I'd rather not have that happen. I just can't picture her fitting in. And why would they consider her what with her work reputation/behavior and the major flops she's done recently?

I may watch for 3 episodes. I have never watched this show for a minute but with her coming I may. I probably am the only one but I think she is very talented. She just got on the wrong track and needs a second chance to prove herself.

I appreciated Lindsey's talent before all the drama. I'm not happy about her being Ugly Betty. I don't think it needs her.

I find it interesting that she would want to be part of the show .. since they have made several jokes about her in rehab.

If Lindsay didn't appear on any show that made jokes about her in rehab, she'd never appear on anything anymore. She wouldn't be able to promote her movies on any of the late night talk shows. If any celebrity didn't go where they were once a target, a lot of them would have boring lives. Hopefully she's gotten it together.

I think it's a great idea and I think Lohan has a lot of talent. She def. hit a low point and I'm rooting for her to make a big return. Once they cast Posh to play herself in this week's ep, I'm up for any guest star they wanna bring in. The fact that this show is set at a high-end fashion mag. makes the possibility for superstar cameos endless.

I agree with kelel21220 and Adam. Lohan is very talented and she's trying hard to reestablish herself. She's shown she has comedic chops in the past, so this seems like a good place for her. Since she is trying so hard (as opposed to others, who are hardly trying) I think it's great that the Ugly Betty people are willing to give her this chance.

I think Lindsay would be a good addition as a guest and don't think she would take herself too seriously. I would want to see her interacting with Amanda and Marc, definitely!!!

I agree, the show doesn't need her. they have tons of talented actors on the show. I'm happy with any scene that include Willy, Mark, Amanda, Hildy, Justin, Bradford, and of course Betty. and an friend of Betty's? Doesn't she seem like she'd be a better fit as Amanda's friend (or long-long sister?)

She will have to be an actual friend of Betty's. The show needs more "geek". If Lohan is going to make an impression she has to go against her typecast of "pretty girl". Ugly-up Lohan!

It sounds good to me as long as they don't recycle an age-old storyline-

Friend takes geeky awkward friend under her wing.
Friend removes geeky friends' (LL in this case) glasses off and she suddenly becomes a spoiled, stuck-up bombshell.
Former Geeky friend learns the important lesson of true friendship and that beauty is only skin deep!!

I've been tired of that story line ever since Marcia did it way back on the Brady Bunch....

Where did you get that picture of Lindsay? She looks like she laid out in the sun for a whole week with no suntan lotion. Very Freakish. You must have a half decent picture somewhere in the tv guide archives.
