Kristen Bell Sees "No Future" for Mars Movie

Your best chance for seeing Neptune again may involve a telescope, as Veronica Mars herself is bearish on the prospect of a big-screen follow-up to the cult TV series. "There is no future, unfortunately," Bell tells MTV.com, when asked about the rumored Mars movie. "Everybody's really, really sad to see it go.... [But] she has been laid to rest [and] may she rest in peace."

Although Bell says she has yet to be involved in a single discussion about possibly revisiting her supersleuther via the silver screen, she won't rule out the notion of one day getting her PI on again. "Depends on how well I age," she quips, making us miss her delivery and wit all the more. Sigh.

OMG, my heart!
Kristen was the glimmer of hope that the fans needed. But we fans are going to try to at least get an ending for the show. I mean, the finale was very noir, but there are still so many storylines yet to be finished!
The owners of SaveVeronicaMars.tv have a movie poster and ticket campaign going on and a movie petition. There is also a syndication petition to sign.
If we could get the word out and get some publicity, all of our hard work might pay off!

:_| I just want to go to bed and start this day over. I knew I should have stayed in bed when I stubbed my toe first thing in the morning and then ran into a toolbox with the other leg. We honestly need do-over days.

Seemed implausible from the start. Rob Thomas should have thought twice before blabbing about a false hope, fanatics cling to anything as reality.

Sad news indeed. But just look at that photo of her. Absolutely breathtaking.

boo-hoo. First the Buffyverse, now this? So sad. Well, I hope that at least K.B's career continues to blow up. Even if we can't have the show, we deserve to see her in more girl-power roles that showcase her humor and amazing talent. As far as young actresses go, I don't think there are any better ones out there! You go, Kristen!

I'll watch anything Kristen is in. Because of Veronica Mars, I'm a fan for life.

I'm actually looking forward to fanboys. It looks pretty funny.

Not a surprise at all, since I can't imagine a studio taking a chance on a movie spun off such a low-rated show. (I know someone will bring up Serenity, but that was a unique situation.)

I'd rather have Veronica laid to rest rather than be strung along on slivers of hope. Time to move on!

Hmm . . .

Kristen Bell: "sees no future regarding a Veronica Mars movie"

Lauren Graham: actively solicited ideas for what the fans want to see in a Gilmore Girls movie (at GoldDerby.com)

Well, there you have it. Veronica Mars is offically deader than Gilmore Girls.
