Kristen on Heroes Role: "Just Try and Separate Us!"

Kristen Bell might not only have more antiheroic days ahead of her (as reported last week in Ask Ausiello), but there might also be a bit of a turnaround for her Elle-raiser. While she notes that "nobody really knows anything at this point" as to the NBC series' game plan for Season 3, she says, "I’ve had an unbelievable experience thus far and they seem to like me and want to keep me onboard, so we’re going to keep that ball rolling for as long as we can. I think we fell in love. Just try and separate us!"

Bell is busy for the next 12 weeks on a shoot that will take her to Rome and New York City, but when she comes back "is when [Heroes] will be getting things together to start shooting. So I’ll be free."

Though Heroes' focus when it returns will be on big baddies, Bell's Elle could surprise fans. "She is so evil and so broken, yet she actually redeems herself over the next couple of episodes," the actress teases. — With reporting by Carita Rizzo

Heck yeah! Kristin Bell can appear in Heroes any time! I'd never seen her act before Heroes, but I liked her character. Plus, the more baddies for "Villains", the better, as long as Sylar was king of all villains.

She can do better. MUCH better.

No thanks.

Elle is a horrible character on the show (not that she's the only bad one added last season, sadly) and the show would be much better off without her.

Just bring her back long enough to kill her off during November sweeps.

Please.

Bring her back as a regular! As far as i'm concerened, they should even give her a spin-off series for Elle.

I really, really hope not. Elle is a horrible character, and while I'm not a huge Kristen Bell fan, she deserves better.

Those of you have never seen her before "Heroes" need to watch Kristen's earlier work in "Veronica Mars" or in "Reefer Madness". Kristen's actually a wonderful actress and any accolades she receives for her earlier work are well deserved.

She's not the most overrated actress ever. That title belongs to Halle Berry. ;)

mickj, I totally agree with you.

She added nothing to "Heroes" except bad acting.

Heroes needs Kristen Bell more than Kristen Bell needs it. Tim Kring has some splainin' to do; getting her on board with a signed contract should have occurred in the first hour after the strike ended. She was its MVP of season 2. You don't let Bell twist in the wind while folks like Dania Ramirez' Maya, one-half of TV's stupidest storyline last year gets a free pass to continue to suck.

What is up with all the cynical critics? Kristen Bell was a wonderful addition to the Heroes cast. She was definitely the best addition to the second season. I think a lot of you Heroes fans are jaded by the shortened and lackluster Season 2, as well as the apparent death of Nathan (and Niki). I'll bet season 3 will put the series back on track. Just kill Maya. I'll end on that optimistic note. ;)

solar_eclipse, I'm not jaded by any shortened season and it's not cynicism- it's an opinion. Just as you have yours. I thought she was terrible on the show and could do much, much better.

I enjoyed Elle last year and would be happy to have her back.

Of all the new characters brought in this season, I would have to say that Kristen Bell's was the best. Her character is intersting and a bit twisted. Though I'm not a fan of the strange way that Elle is all over the guys in the show, I still enjoy her character. I also think her acting is excellent.
