Knight Rider Revamp Gets Hasselhoffed

This was a no-brainer, wasn't it? And I don't just mean David Hasselhoff himself. The original Knight Rider is in talks to appear in the upcoming TV-movie/backdoor pilot, playing the father that soap hunk Justin Bruening's speed demon never knew. Deanna Russo, who recently played doctor on The Young and the Restless (Hoff's old stomping grounds), has also joined the cast as Bruening's old flame, a beautiful but brilliant engineer (aren't they all?) who is told by the talking car that her father is MIA. — Ben Katner

Bwahaha! You certainly have a way with a phrase, Ben.

I'm okay with the Hoff appearing in the movie, as long as he isn't in the series, assuming that it develops into one. And assuming that I will watch it, which, considering how boring the Bionic Woman remake turned out to be, isn't necessarily a safe assumption at all.

Edited because I mistakenly attributed the funny to Matt, although he can also turn a phrase quite well.

Isn't it a bummer when you have to get bad news about a family member from your car?

Hi, monkey65! I agree with you! The less Hasselhoff in my life, the better.

I suppose, Chappy, that you and I qualify as official Hoff Hasselers. I hope we get t-shirts!

Oh, I can only hope! I would proudly wear it while doing the laundry.

And you would definitely be the best-dressed in the entire laundry room. As for me, I'd save it for special occasions like ironing or vacuuming.

I've heard of this "vacuuming."

I'm very worried. I think something is terribly wrong with me. I'm actually looking forward to this movie/show. I could live without "the Hoff" though. (Did he give himself that nickname and what the heck is it supposed to mean anyway?) I just hope it's better than Bionic Woman.

I think he just figured that it sounded better than "that hammy drunk who used to talk to his car but now eats cheeseburgers on the floor and blunders his way through an ersatz American Idol" (my own personal pet name for him).

Plus, "The Hoff" makes for a better t-shirt.

I do this every few months, whether my carpet needs it or not. Coincidentally, that's about how frequently that I iron.

Not to mention takes up much less room.

And it has a better chance at ever winning an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, a Grammy, McDonald's Monopoly or charades.

Drawback?-it is a vacuum cleaner, after all-but it STILL loses in the s*cking department!!:_|:^O

But on the upside, it doesn't go around saying "You are what this competition is all about!" in an exaggerated, pompous Actor-Man voice.
