The Five Greatest Moments from Camp Rock

Jonas Brothers (Nick, Joe and Kevin) in Camp Rock by John Medland/Disney Channel
The following is a special entry written exclusively by TVGuide.com's teen correspondents, the Santry Sisters. Katie and Karleigh are the creators of JonasBrothersFan.com, the No. 1 Jonas Brothers and Camp Rock fansite.

The wait for the much anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, is now over! While the entire movie was absolutely fantastic, there are a few high points that stuck out. Here are our five favorite moments.

5. "Too Cool" performance: Too Cool" is a very fun and catchy song, and it definitely gives you an idea on Tess' personality, while explaining how Mitchie fell into peer pressure.

4. Shane and Mitchie's first encounter: Though Shane didn't realize he was meeting Mitchie for the first time, the first impression wasn't very good. Shane went all "superstar," and was a total jerk, which why he was sent to Camp Rock in the first place. Though most of the girls would do anything for Shane, Mitchie tell's it like it is and puts him in his place. Way to go Mitchie!

3. Shane Shirtless: Enough said.

2. "Play My Music" performance: This performance was really cool because even though the boys were Connect 3, they seemed more like the Jonas Brothers. Watching that scene, you feel like you're watching a Jonas Brothers concert — the boys do their thing and it is an awesome performance.

1. "This is Me" performance: There are many performances in Camp Rock, but the one which this one definitely sticks out the most. The song is absolutely amazing (kudos to the writer), and Demi Lovato (Mitchie) has one of the best voices we've ever heard. Plus, the fact that they make it a duet between Shane and Mitchie made for a fantastic ending and a beautiful piece of music, which is why it earns the top spot for on our list.

Those were our favorite moments, how about you guys? Do you have a top five Camp Rock moments? Share them in the comments! — Katie and Karleigh Santry

I loved the movie so much. My top 5 moments would be:
5. Tess almost falling on stage: I liked this part because she now knows how it feels to be the one on the other side. She is the one that had to deal with the embarrassment. But when she started crying, I felt sorry for her.
4. Shane Shirtless: Yeah that was a good part!
3: Shane sings Mitchie "Gotta Find You.": They are just too cute togther! I love how they have so much chemistry in this part.
2: This is me Performance: Best Performance of the movie, best song too. Even though Here I am is great!
1: Canoe Scene: I LOVED this part. Shane and Mitchie connect here and I love when he asks her "are you jealous."

5. Shane bumping into Mitchie and asking her to listen to a song he wrote and when Mitchie leaned on the canoes and started talking to him.. All of the flirty scenes between them were cute to see!

4. The Canoe scene! I loved that part! The chemistry between the two of them was cute and just seeing Joe smile.. Ah!! :]

3. Joe Jonas shirtless.. What else needs to be said? :D

2. When Shane sang 'Gotta Find You' to Mitchie on the dock. This is the first clip that was released of Camp Rock back at the beginning of the year, so finally seeing the whole thing was cool! It is such a great song and seeing Joe play the guitar and sing so sentimentally like that? Wow. <3

1. 'This Is Me' performance. It brought everything to a close and they way Shane and Mitchie looked at each other is priceless. It was adorable!

first of all, seriously? katie and karleigh need to go away. they get to go to everything, just because they run a fansite. there are plenty of other sites that are better than JBF and they get ZERO recognition. its annoying.

5. Mitchie telling off Tess.
4. Shane shirtless. (haha)
3. Shane finding out Mitchie's secret
2. Gotta Find You on the dock
1. "THATS THE SONG!" - and the whole thing becoming a duet. Really pulled the movie together.

I didn't really like the ending though. It just kind of.. stopped. And I liked Kevin's character, he was funny.

Oh, c'mon... the five greatest moments?? Let's leave this movie to the tweens, who are the target audience. If some adults enjoyed the movie, that's fine (they'll be seeing it over and over again this summer anyway), but let's not go overboard with praise and adoration. It's only a movie, after all. ?<img border=">

Jena, teens wrote the review, and teens and tweens definitely wrote the comments. All of the nicknames were created to comment on this movie, as this is the first post for each of them...assuming, of course, that they're all different people. :)

It was a pleasant enough movie for a lightweight Disney outing, but afterward, my 13-year-old daughter and I picked apart the flaws. Of course, she had to watch it again tonight. LOL

Monkey65: I apologize for any misunderstanding... I didn't pick up on the fact that all/most posters might be teens. I read this "today's news" section almost every day and don't recall ever seeing a "teen-themed" post on here, so my assumption was that it was a actual 'news' item, rather than a review. The "news" page doesn't seem to be quite the right place for this. They should give it a blog under the TV show forum. (Yes, I realize it's a movie and not a show, but it still fits there better, imho.)

I agree with Jena. I don't see how this is news. Slow news day I guess?

I am a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers. However, I was hugley disappointed by Camp Rock--I thought it'd be better than hsm (was I wrong!). I also thought "Too Cool" was a terrible song and was plugging my ears because of the whiney-ness and its annoyance. I think also that the plot was not very structured and Shane's character was not written well. All of a sudden, this rude popstar with an enormous ego is being nice to a nobody! (Zac Efron would never speak to me!) Mitchie lied way too much--an unbelievingly amount (Everyone lies, but not that much!) And how did everone know all the dances? Also, in my opinion, there should have been more Nick and Kevin. Connect 3's dynamics were great, and should have been shown off more. I was deeply disappointed by this whole movie. :(

Jena, no apology necessary! I just wanted to assure you that those making the "Top 5" lists were definitely not out of puberty. :) I agree that it's questionable whether it should be included here, but the same could be said about most items about Jamie Lynn Spears and her big sister, Whatzername.

dayz, my daughter and I said the same thing when the back-up singer switched to another group at the last minute--"Wow, how did she learn the steps so fast?" Then again, dancing and singing aren't supposed to be logical in a musical. It would have been nice if the plot was a bit more cohesive, but I also agree that the Jonas Brothers had funny lines and worked together well.

4.when kevin was like "group hug, so much better"
3. when joe got outta the lake.
2.when nick and kevin came to vist joe and they sang play my music.
1. was when everone sang "we rock"
the serously the greatest movie ever:))))
Jun 22, 2008 4:35 PM
5. Demi sings for the camp rock instructor for the first time.
4. Joe teaching the hip hop class
3. Joe shirtless :)
2. When Joe says "one word 'payback'" and kevin says "actually thats two words."
1. "Thats the song" Joe and Demi sing this is me (I gotta find you)

5. Joe & Demi's first encounter. The whole, "I know one girl who would buy that song..." was really cute, in my opinion.

4. Connect 3's "Play My Music" performance. I listen to that song everyday!

3. JOE JONAS SHIRTLESS! <3

2. "This Is Me" duet between Demi & Joe. It was amazing & a great way to end the movie.

1. Demi playing the piano and singing the second verse of "This Is Me" in the mess hall (or whatever...). It had that awesome songwriter feel, and you could tell that it was a really vulnerable moment. Plus it adds the whole "mystery girl/voice" aspect of the movie. It was, by far, my favorite part.
