« Today's News: Our Take
Izzie Stevens Makes Temperatures Rise the Most
Katherine Heigl by Jeffrey Mayer/ WireImage.com
Katherine Heigl is the most McDesirable, according to an AskMen.com survey that named the Grey's Anatomy star the "most desirable woman of 2008." Participants in the poll found that Heigl best embodies the traits they want in a girlfriend/wife: intelligence, humor, charisma and ambition. A woman's looks per se were not among the criteria, but with models Alessandra Ambrosio (at No. 2), Marisa Miller (No. 9) and Adriana Lima (No. 10) cracking the top 10, you can bet it was a factor.
Rounding out the top 10 were Kate Beckinsale, Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel and Rihanna. — Mickey O'Connor
What's your take? Does Heigl indeed seem like a dream date, or might her honesty-is-the-best-policy policy start grating on you?

I'm surprised, simply b/c I hear so many people complain about how annoying she is.
Considering the interviews I've seen with the models listed, apparently looks comes into play here alot more than the criteria. But as far as the two Kates, the two Jessicas and Scarlett, I would def. have to agree. They come across as being in charge of their lives and careers, and, yes, they are beautiful.

I would go with Kate Beckinsale. I've heard that Heigl smokes like a chimney. That is not desirable. Where's Olivia Munn of Attack of the Show? She is my most desirable.

I'm torn. For pure hotness, Eva Longoria would top my list, but I can't argue much with Katherine Heigl. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, intelligent and charming, she stands by her friends and she stands for something, regardless of how it makes her appear to those who have an ax to grind. That kind of confidence is sexy.

Can someone please tell me what the big deal with K. Heigl is?????????? She is just an actress, attractive, yes, won an emmy, so did a lot of others and yet she continues to dominate headlines. She's appeared in tv guide more times than I care to remember and Barb Walters interviewing her as one of the 10 most interesting???????? What? Please, is there some higher ups that are propelling her career? I can't and won't believe it is for her acting or looks!!!! Men can vote how they want, and if they find her the most attractive or whatever, fine, but do I have to see her face everywhere. AGAIN, WHATS THE BIG DEAL? She come off as being a pretty arrogant individual, self assured to the point of annoyance, self absorbed etc. So why is ET, tv guide, and a host of other shows giving her so much air time? I still maintain it's behind the scenes deal and money is involved. THat's my story and Im sticking to it.

Yuk...but i just think it's "her turn"...wasn't it Beyonce last year? Is she no longer desirable? Everything just goes around according to who is "hot" at the moment..she is on a roll right now, but that will pass eventually and it will be someone else next time..how else can you explain the "sexiest man alive" magazines and then years later they aren't even on the list!.. I remember not understanding the appeal and attention of Jessica Simpson and wishing she would drop off the face of the earth..well she did...It is just Katherine Heigl's turn..she's not so bad and just wait it out if you don't like her.

She's decent looking(by show bizz standards) and decently talented. She's arguably the best looking woman on a high profile TV series. Popularity goes a long way when it comes to lists like this. I think there are definitely individuals on the list who are more beautiful, have more charisma, and are at least as ambitious. Beyonce, Eve Longoria, Jessica Alba, and Alicia Keys to name a few. Obviously, I don't know these women well enough to judge, but there's no one on the list who stands out as comparatively more intelligent or funnier than anyone else on the list.
