Katee Sackhoff: From Starbuck to Nip/Tuck
Katee Sackhoff by Albert L. Ortega/ WireImage.com
Katee Sackhoff, who recently eyed a gig as a CSI, instead will wield a scalpel during the sixth season of FX's Nip/Tuck.
Per the Reporter, the Battlestar Galactica badass will play Theodora "Teddy" Lowe, a new doctor who challenges Dylan Walsh's Sean in at least four episodes. Also going in for a little Nip/Tuck this upcoming season is Morgan Fairchild, guesting in one episode as a movie star. MWM

I wish she'd chosen a show I watch. Good thing it's not long term. She needs her own show.

Ha Ha ha. I just have to think of all the people who said she can do better than CSI, her talents are too much for CSI, and here she goes to Nip/Tuck of all shows. LOL LOL. Good luck on worst show on TV!!! LOL.

I think it is awesome and I can't wait to see it!! I still love Nip/Tuck for the mind numbing show that it is and for the gorgeous Julian McMahon.

People say that I favor Julian McMahon.
And by "people" I mean a singular TVGuide.com reader, some 2 1/2 years ago.

Why? Why can't she get a series which is new, and which hasn't been driven into the ground? She is good enough to be the lead on her own series, and to see it through a nice long run (writing permitting). She is young. She is a pop culture icon. Why would she reduce herself to guest roles on stale, boring shows that should have ended years ago?

I'm going to take a wild guess and suggest that Katee's character is going to have sex with Sean or Christain or both (possibly at the same time), and then she'll go psycho. Because in Nip/Tuck women are apparently good for only two things; having sex with the leads and being crazy.

As true as that may be Matt, I believe you are married? Last time I checked Julian was not so I will have to settle for looking at him!!

Bad move, Katee, bad bad move. This show is one of the most degenerative shows on tv. It's vulgar, crass, somewhat pornographic and the writing is ridiculous. It's on for shock value and represents a small facet of society that are immoral, unethical,& pratically incestual, and is head for bestiality, no doubt about it.
I will never see my Starbuck in the same light, but an actor's got to do what they've got to do, I suppose, but how about a show that is worth watching and not a show that is in the bowels of obscenity and whose characters, one and all are degenerates. I stopped watching this a couple of years back and tune in periodically to see what crap is going on, and yes it's still crap. It's too bad I won't be seeing Katee on this show.

NO.
Nip/Tuck got so unbearably bad over the last three seasons that makes CSI actually looks like a perfect fit for Katee.

I'd have loved to have seen her on CSI. Even better, I think she would have made a great counter spy who goes against Michael on Burn Notice. Heck, make her the new boss on Stargate:Atlantis. Have mer be next season's Serial Killer on Bones. Those would work too. But Nip/Tuck? Nip/Tuck jumped the shark a looong time ago. Hopefully, she'll end up somewhere more "alive" than on another dead or dying show like Nip/Tuck after her 4 episode stint is over.

I wanted her on a show I'd actually watch! *sigh* I may tune in to the mess that is "Nip/Tuck" anyway. At least to check her out.
I'm still holding out hope for her to be on a "real" show next year after all of the strike fallout has been resolved and there are more new series going on the air.

Why all the complaints? The girl needs a paycheck and Nip/Tuck is a great show and allows her to keep her name out there! Longterm unemployment spells doom for actors as well as us common folk!
Give her a break!

I am with Ranger99. Girlfriend needs a paycheck. And let's give the Powers That Be a chance to create a wonderful series for her to star in. In the meantime she can pick up some money working on other series where she can be noticed.
