Kate Walsh: "I'm So Ready to Go Back to Work!"

You've probably spied a dreamy looking Kate Walsh among the crowd in "Yes We Can," will.i.am's music-video ode to Barack Obama currently making the rounds. "That's where I've been spending my time [during the strike], out stumping for him. I love him," she tells TV Guide. "I just think he's the right one. He really truly represents the face of America."

Campaigning for Obama isn't Walsh's only pet project while Private Practice waits to resume shooting. Besides "enjoying" her new husband and promoting her ABC show in Europe, she's been hanging in Times Square with a pack of dogs. The pooch-loving mother of Lucy — a half Basenji, half Jindo (yeah, we never heard of those either) — is the spokesperson for the Pedigree Adoption Drive, whose goal "is to get shelter dogs homes and raise a million dollars for animal rescue," she says. (Those outside of New York City can help via DogsRule.com, where you can buy goodies autographed by Walsh and other stars.)

So when will viewers get Addison and the other sexy docs back? Walsh hears she could be back on set in four to five weeks if the strike ends soon, as is expected. "I'm so ready to go back," she says. "It's been insane." — Ileane Rudolph

I'm so ready for her to go back to work too!! I was just getting into the whole Private Practice thing and it's like you have to pick it all back up all over again!! I love her in anything, but let's hope this is a success for her - she deserves it!

uh, this read a little too much like a press release by Walsh to promote her pet causes... I mean I know things are tough with the strike for reporting but seriously...
what's next fan fiction?

I liked Kate Walsh on Grey's, but Private Practice is pretty dull and un-interesting. The politics and activist causes of any celebrity is equally dull and un-interesting.

Thanks for the interview! I really can't wait for Private Practice to return! I actually have heard of Kate's dog type. I admire that she used her time off for doing good. I really need Tim Daly back on TV!

Please be cancelled! A show with writing this bad should not even be able to air!

Bring Kate Walsh back to Greys Anatomy!

As if Grey's Anatomy was that well written. Both shows (and everything else written by Shonda Rhimes) are mediocre at the best. But Private Practice is better because of fantastic actors. I watch it only for Tim Daly and Audra McDonald.
