Jorja Fox: CSI Is a Keeper, So I'm a Goner

Explaining that there are many things, both personal and professional, that she wants to do — "and I really need to do some of them before I get too old" — Jorja Fox confirms the biz's worst-kept secret, that her days as a CSI are ending, partly because the hit procedural isn't. "If I thought the show were on its last legs, I would've tried harder to stay the course," she tells Entertainment Weekly. "But I feel like it's going to be around for a while." As such, she says, "I have to get off the ride."

With Fox's send-off slated for sometime during November sweeps, might Sara-Grissom fans receive proper closure? "I don't think you're going to get that," Fox recently told the Ausiello Report. "This might sound vain, but the story of Sara and Grissom is a little like a fable, and most great fables don't really have 100 percent resolution."

Well, I for one am glad she's gone. No offense to her, but I could not stand her character on CSI (or ER either).

well shes ok on the show. The character I can't stand is Catherine Willows. Why is she still on the show?

I like the character of Cath and I used to like the character of Sara when she was stronger it seemed and didn't have to chase Grissom around like a lost dog. I liked the fact that when the show began both of the female stars' (Jorja and Marg) characters were strong and independent females who could hold their own. Now, it just doesn't seem that way with the character of Sara. She became too weak and then she chased Grissom instead of just being more independent, backing off some, and then letting him do the chasing when he saw what he missed out on. I didn't like the romance aspect of the show, but if they had done it differently, I might have -- like leaving Sara strong and not so puppy dog like and having to have a man to survive and be something. So the character will not be missed in that aspect, but I do hate breaking up the old team. Once characters start to leave, the show changes dramatically and ratings slip, which I think will eventually be the end to CSI in the long run, especially if the bigger stars, like WP and Marg leave this year as well after their contracts are up.

I agree that Sara was an asset to the show. If they were to kill Catharine tomorrow, I wouldn't shed a tear. Worst-mom-ever!

Once the character of Sara leaves, I can stop taping CSI. I only started watching again when it was revealed that she and Grissom were in a relationship.

I will miss Sara terribly. She was by far my favorite character. I wish Jorja Fox well and am still hopeful for a happy 'ending' for gsr. If her departure and gsr is handled well, I will probably continue to watch CSI. I am hoping that she might return as a guest star on occasion so that we might enjoy more Fox/Petersen scenes. They're phenonmenal together.

CSI Vegas is still on tv? Oh I didn't know that.. The only CSI I watch is Miami. Unlike Vegas and NY(and it's still on too?), Miami is literally brighter whereas the other two are always darker and CSI Miami is Vibrant and Rich in it's characters and storylines.

In regards to Jorge Fox, she is a far left wing crazy nut who lives in her own utopian mind. She can probably afford to not work for a few years but reality will set in at some point and she'll find she's not as welcome in the business as she thinks she is. Everyone in tv land knows that America doesn't like her. duh!

She should do broadway or something behind the camera.

Man, she's milking this for all it's worth, eh? Just leave already, will ya? I want to get back to the great cases... I could not care less about their relationships.

Furthermore... leaving a hit show with nothing to fall back on? Ask David Caruso how long he languished before he got another break....

Jorja's Sara is very charismatic and the tension between her character and Grissom will be sincerely missed. She is more intelligent than the other females in the cast, regardless of the bio's they have received. I get a bit tired of Catherine posing and her story line is not that interesting. Her conflict of interest with Sam is troubling. But Sara will live on, hopefully, in the memory of Grissom and perhaps her departure will be reasonably crafted so that she will exit with the grace she has always had on the show. Yep, I'll miss her!

They really don't have anywhere to go but to get a new character. Jorja is not a really good actress. She may be a good person but this show needs new "meat". Catherine is a good actress, so she will stay. They will eventually get someone who is compatible with the other characters. I still think Gil and Lady Heather were good together but not for the long haul. People, don't be so mean and negative about this show and the characters.

I watch CSI because of the scientific aspect. Many a good movie has been ruined by interjecting a romantic angle. I wish movie makers and TV producers would eliminate this cheapening aspect. Jorja was at least not too "sexy", like Willows. I would never be allowed to wear some of those low-cut outfits to work. However, "Sara" always spoke like she was half- asleep and in a "daze". No emotion.

I like Grissom because he is all business, but still has a human side about him. But, if romance is in the offing, I'm not watching.

Jorja Fox is a mediocre actress at best so good luck to her in her future endeavors because it'll probably be a long time before we see her on the small screen again (or even the big screen!). As Sara, she was downright boring. There is nothing wrong with the writers putting in some personal stuff about the characters, but for some reason, to me anyway, I NEVER could see what Grissom saw in her. She doesn't have any sex appeal whatsoever (yes, you can be smart as hell AND have some sex appeal!). She is basically "asexual". But because the show never got into the the characters' personalities too much, we'll never know what the attraction was. You know Grissom has a sexy side of him because the only person who ever brought that out in him was Lady Heather (yeah, bring her back for some episodes now that Gil is free!). I think the show won't change much without Sara. And I do hope they do not bring in that Ronnie chick! She is just too annoying! And seemed to be too young to be on the street already helping the more senior members. Look how long it took Greg to become a full fledged CSI.
