Jessica Alba Engaged (and Yes, It All Still Stings)

If only because it is the natural progression of life events in Hollywood, Jessica Alba — who a little more than two weeks ago came forth with the news that she is expecting her first child in "late spring/early summer" — is now officially betrothed to her longtime beau and the pop of her papoose, Cash Warren. "I can confirm that they are engaged," the former Dark Angel's publicist, Brad Cafarelli, confirms for TVGuide.com.

Oh, and you saw it confirmed here first. But why quibble? I'm bigger than that (especially since Christmas dinner!).

Can you imagine that in morally challenged show business, some broad who is pregnant is also getting married? Would have been nice the other way around first, but at least they ARE getting married and not just waiting to see if they are compatible. Lord knows it's more important to wait for just the right time to marry, but it's certainly okay to slut around and get pregnant just any old time.

While they're both really nice looking people, photos of them together really creep me out. Why? Because they look like they could be brother and sister. At least the baby dipped its toes into two good gene pools.

We does the media always glorify these women that get knocked up before they are married? I don't care if they are grown adults or that she's cute. Beauty fads and dumb is forever (per Judge Judy). Impressionable young girls are watching these high profile women and now they are thinking that it's okay to get pregant before marriage. Wrong is just wrong. Surely they have condom aisle in Hollywood? Every grocery store in America has a aisle 12 for Personal stuff. I suggest these women start shopping there first.

princess07 at what point did your opinion become fact? What law says that it is not okay to be pregnant before marriage? Considering all people are free to decide what is best for them, having a baby before marriage is the individuals opinion. You can think it's wrong and that's fine but I find it scary how judgemental people are. Especially about someone they don't know. We also don't know that the pregnancy wasn't planned, so that's another thing we can't judge on.

footballfran- I couldn't agree more. I am so sick of hearing these judgemental people deciding that everyone must live by their opinions. princess07- go live your life and let Jessica Alba live hers. Her choices don't affect your life so why do you care what she does?
