« Today's News: Our Take
Jennifer Love's Bucking the Body Banter, Again
Jennifer Love Hewitt by Jean Baptiste Lacroix/ WireImage.com
Movies weren't the only thing on Jennifer Love Hewitt's mind over Oscar weekend. At a viewing party Sunday, she was still talking about those bikini pics that sparked a bit of a controversy earlier this winter, and she made sure to buck the notion that she's caving to criticism.
Despite having said in December that she would not "address this subject" again, on Sunday Hewitt told People, "The thing I think is great is when those pictures were taken, no matter what, I had just been asked to marry [by fiancé Ross McCall]. So he loves me just the way I am."
She added, "If I do work out more it will be for my health, so I can live a long time and we can have kids and be happy together until we are in our eighties." At a time when all of Hollywood is scrutinized on the red carpet, what's your take on Hewitt's comments (especially as a reprise)? Refreshing... or eye-rolling? — Anna Dimond

Jennifer Love Hewitt looked hot in those photos. Her breasts looked amazing. She doesn't need to change a thing.

I am one hundred percent in agreement with Jennifer and echo Master Moron'sstatement-she doesn't need to change a thing.

she is an attention whore. did anyone even remember those pictures? i sure as hell had forgotten about them. She just brought them up so that she could be in the news again. Agree with the point made months ago that she looked fine, but no need to bring it up again.

How do you know a reporter didn't bring it up first?

I saw the pics again not too long ago somewhere; couldn't say where. Either way, I'm glad she's addressing it again. She is not fat, she is naturally curvy and I for one think she looks amazing.

I thought she looked beautiful and happy in those pictures.
I'm glad she's not obsessed with how she looks. I know I would be a lot happier if *I* wasn't obsessed, which unfortunately, I am.

I bet a reporter brought it up again. Appearance is everything in Hollywood and weight is obsessed about more than anything else. I think she is absolutely beautiful and she has handled this whole thing with dignity and self-confidence. She is certainly not "very very heavy" as Marinella put it. If she is heavy then the majority of the rest of the female population must be absolutely obese!!

Marinella,
I have to respectfully disagree. I think you are being to critical when you say she is "very very heavy". I bet she is hardly a size 10. That is far from heavy. What do you say about people who are plus size if you think she is "very very heavy"?

I think that the truth is that she is not super skinny (or as skinny as she was when she was younger) nor is she super fat. She's average, and the camera makes it look worse than it is. That said, she did not look great in those pictures. Seriously, it's one thing to say that she shouldn't be slammed for how she looks, but it's another thing to say that the photos were flattering. C'mon! They were horrible pictures taken while she was wearing a completely unflattering bathing suit. She's hardly a cow, and the insults are lame. If she wants to work out more, good for her. That's never a bad thing. There's no real story here, but the pictures were just bad pictures, no matter how you cut it.

Indeed, but I think people feel the need to say she looked beautiful to offset the rudeness and ridiculousness of people calling her a fat pig.

Agree with the both of you Informant and Dianora- but I also think she DID look beautiful. Obviously being in love suits her, as she was positively glowing.

I think she should just ignore it. There's a variety of body types out there and she just happens to be "bottom heavy". It's no big deal, BUT, I still feel if she had not been so ready to expose her breasts on her show, that it would not have gone this far.
On her show, she is always hiding her bottom portion. She wears loose dresses and when she is in pants, the camera angle never shows her from behind. But her breasts are "shown off" consistently. Perhaps she feels that is her best asset. Even in winter on the show where everyone is wearing long sleeves, jackets, coats, she is still in a skimy, sleeveless outfit with her breasts popping out.
I have noticed this "hiding" of her lower body since the beginning of the show. If she truly is proud of her body and loves it as she claims, then why go to such drastic measures (camera angles, loose clothes) to hide it?

dalin345 - She has very nice breasts. My boyfriend can attest to that (heh). It's one of the major draws for men that watch the show. Plus, wearing low-cut tops draws attention to the bust (no pun intended), framing the head and shoulders nicely. And TV definitely features that sort of shot, a ton.
Funny note, though: She's always wearing flimsy nightgowns to bed! I'm like, what kind of world do you live in where you actually sleep in those things? I don't know about you guys, but most of the time I wear thermal shirts and pajama pants to bed! :-P
