Scoop! Jennifer Aniston Is Ready to 30 Rock

She'll be there for... you, Jack Donaghy?

Friends alumna Jennifer Aniston — whose love life has fed the tabs with headlines aplenty — now is making legit news, having booked a guest-starring gig on NBC's 30 Rock, sources tell TVGuide.com. (The Peacock, for the record, tells me they are "unable to confirm" this A-list casting coup.)

Thus far, no details on who Aniston will be playing — a new paramour for Jack? A high-school chum of Liz's? Kenneth's surprisingly attractive cousin Enid Mae? — have yet to trickle out. Interestingly, her former Must-See TV scene partner, David Schwimmer, previously has guested on 30 Rock, playing NBC's overzealous ecology mascot.

Aniston's most recent prime-time TV appearance came in the form of a bold bid to give girlFriend Courteney Cox's struggling Dirt a shot in the arm by engaging in a much-hyped girl-girl lip lock. — Matt Mitovich

Really like this show and think jen would be a coup, And I like Alec Baldwin's work on this, but the guy should keep his mouth shut, 1st he says if Bush is elected again (in 04) he would move out of country, obviously he did not make good on promise, then calls his daughter a PIG, what kinda father does that, then says he is going to quit 30 rock cause the recording got out, please, If you are going to keep making threats you have to follow through or you are just the boy who cried wolf.

You should spend less time worried about Alec Baldwin and what he says and worry more about the direction our country is going and spend some time volunteering to make life better... in other words get a life!

bruins, that had nothing to do with the article. and for the record, alec baldwin offered to quit 30 rock during the fiasco with his daughter, for the good of the show. he felt the negative publicity would affect the show and would have gracefully bowed out. i don't even like the guy, normally, but i thought this was an unusually classy move. however, tina fey and others wouldn't have it, as they (rightly so) believed jack was too crucial a character.

anyway, i've been having very mixed/constantly changing feelings about jennifer aniston, so hopefully this will turn out well. she can be funny when she wants, and 30 rock is the perfect venue. this should be good.

Whoever suggested that Jennifer Aniston's movie career has fizzled, hence her return to TV, must be delusional. You make it sound as though TV is the toilet to where all actors go when the rest of their career has died. Not so. TV is what we watch most. Most of us cannot afford to go to the movies more than once or twice a year anymore. DVDs have to be played through the TV so there, TV is vital. Actually, getting a guest shot on a popular TV proram can give an actor a shot in the arm, great visibility. Even if Jen was making a movie a month, chances are she'd still get more exposure on TV.
