Ian Ziering Wants Price Is Right Gig; Steines, Newton Are Finalists

According to the New York Daily News, 90210/Dancing with the Stars alum Ian Ziering has gotten a callback from The Price Is Right, where he is among the crop of possibles to follow in Bob Barker's shoes. "He was all jittery" upon hearing the good news, a source tells the tab. "He really, really wants it."

The New York Post, meanwhile, hears that ET's Mark Steines and Todd Newton, who have long been in this seemingly endless race, are the two final frontrunners.

It may all come down to whether Nat at the Peach Pit gives Ian a good reference.

I think he'd be a good fit. He's very charismatic. He's a lot better than most others I've heard are interested!!!

I agree, Mannie_Annie, Ian would be perfect and I would watch the show.

I totally agree with both of you. I think he would be a good fit. He could bring a new level of excitement, and a newer audience too. It would be nice to see him hosting such a fun show.

This is kind of ironic...wasn't he married (divorced now) to one of the "Price is Right" girls??

And maybe Luke Perry could be the new announcer replacing Rod Roddy. And how about Shannen Doherty, Gabrielle Carteris and Tori Spelling as the new models?

Might be good for Ian---don't know why, but always liked him but don't think he can act. He does have experience--I seem to remember a call for some B*tchs on his old show to be spayed or neutered...]<img border=">

Oh WOW, I think he'd be a GREAT choice. Something about his smile and that little light in his eyes and given he wants to do it so badly that would surely show through

I hope he gets it and i hope they make him keep the mic with the loooooooooooong cord attached. priceless

What a perfect choice. I wouldn't have thought of it. Since DWTS he should have new interest from people.

Sportsnut, I don't think Ian's ex a Price is Right girl, but I know she was a Playboy model.

while he is certainly not my first choice, or tenth even, he is far better than the last crop of options. George Hamilton would have killed that show for me!

Honestly, I don't know. It's hard to fill those shoes. I don't know who - but Steve Saunders is only eh in my book. I think he just can't be anyone else to me. He did come across as very likeable on DWTS, so he could grow on me if I could get past the whole Peach Pit After Dark thing.

My first choice was Todd Newton. Definitely not George Hamilton. (Sorry George.) If someone from DWTS is gonna get it, let's hope it is Ian. He would be a great host. And, yes, his ex was a TPIS girl.
