Holy S--t: Conan's Stalker Is a Man of the Cloth

A Boston priest has been arrested on charges of stalking Conan O'Brien. (Hey, for once at least it isn't child molestation.) The twisted padre contacted the talk-show host's parents and has been bombarding him with threatening letters since 2006. When he was denied entry to a taping of the program, his next missive asked, "Is this the way you treat your most dangerous fans?" Sheesh. It's enough to make me glad I didn't pursue my original dream of becoming a superpopular male model. — Ben Katner

Okay, with a comment like that, Ben, we need to see a picture. Of you.

He's probably afraid if he posted a picture, we'd stalk him! ;)

Someone should advise the padre to seek professional help fast! (Medical professional help, that is) Here's another wing-nut who needs a reality check....

May stars have been stalked, but leave it to Conan to have the most unusual stalker. I really wouldn't want to be famous, having to put up with nut cases like this. You never know when one of them is a real danger.

I've been stalked at the workplace by a gun carrying nutcase. It was almost as terrifying as when the police who apprehended him told me "You look like you could've handled him". Sure...nothing I like better than to start my workday wrestling with an armed lunatic.

I think celebrities owe the public a certain amount of courtesy and access but I also think there are limits. When someone wonders why many stars surround themselves with security and patronize "exclusive" establishments where they are known and somewhat protected they should think of stories like Conan's. Their reward froo entertaining us should not be a complete loss of prvacy and safety for themselves and their families.
