Cameras are already rolling again for the Hills posse, but that isn't stopping them from embarking on extracurricular pursuits. From fitness plans to professional development — not to mention outings to Les Deux, obv! — summer's just another season for new challenges, only with less clothing.

TVGuide.com caught up with some of the cast at Sunday's Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Carnival. For Spencer Pratt, the event was already an annual tradition. As he explained, "I grew up with [Elizabeth Glaser's son] Jake, so I've been coming to this event since I was in elementary school. We have so much love for this charity, and want to do anything we can to help out."

As people mobbed his main squeeze, Heidi Montag, Pratt said that their summer was focused on finishing her album in time for The Hills' Season 4 premiere in August. "We're in the studio with Todd Chapman," Pratt said. "He's a genius." As for Heidi's next music videos, though, Pratt said he would no longer be directing, just producing.

For now, music is the pair's only definite extracurricular. That rumored Speidi spin-off is not happening "anytime soon," Pratt said. "[Maybe] when The Hills is over."

Joining Pratt in the spin-off rumor-squashing was costar Whitney Port. "I don't know what the story is," she shrugged. "I haven't gotten a presentation of what it would be." She then mused, "I've stayed a little private, so it could be a little scary, but I'm open to it."

Lauren Conrad has a serious summer fitness plan in the works. Guided by a personal trainer, she said she soon be hitting the gym and reducing bikini body-busting foods. Despite the fact that her beauty mantra is "less is more," she's also not overdoing it: Sweets and alcohol are staying on the menu!

Apart from her fitness plans, Conrad was serious about taking time out for the Foundation's carnival, where she and her gal pals were manning the pottery booth. "We all live very fortunate lives," she said, "and it's nice if we can give up any time [for charity]." — Anna Dimond

Give me a break. These kids are famous for having rich parents who let them have whatever they want. They didn't work for anything.
