Heroes Does Super with Teen Choice Nominations

NBC's Heroes is the most recognized TV program going into the Teen Choice 2007 awards, earning six total nominations, including Choice Drama and Breakout Show ("Breakout" of course meaning different things to this particular audience). Lost, Entourage and Ugly Betty followed with four nods each.

The drama contest pits Peter, Hiro et al against Grey's Anatomy, House, Lost and Kyle XY, while the comedy race has Entourage and Betty duking it out with The Office, Desperate Housewives and Hannah Montana.

If I may now cite three of the fluffier categories:

Choice Liplock nominees
Keira-Orlando, Kirsten-Tobey, Transformers' Megan Fox-Shia LaBeouf, Drew-Hugh and Beyoncé-Jamie

Choice Male Hottie
Josh Duhamel, Orlando, T.I., Zac and Taylor Kitsch

Choice Female Hottie
Megan Fox, Hayden, Jessicas A and B, and Rihanna

This excuse to exceed the reasonable limit for any one assembly of young and dewy folk airs Aug. 26 on Fox.

Huh? You write "Taylor Kitsch (?)" Does this mean you don't get why he's nominated or you don't know who he is? He's from Friday Night Lights, and he's pretty damn cute.

I wish I was much younger, WOW Taylor Kitsch is a definite hottie. It's a difficult choice between him & Orlando.

At the risk of making me sound really old (I'm 29, btw), should teens really be watching Entourage? Doesn't seem really that teen friendly. Especially when its going up against the likes of Hannah Montana...they don't really seem to be aimed at the same age group.

Speaking of Friday Night Lights ... I just noticed that Amazon is taking preorders for the first season on DVD, out August 28. What's surprising is that it's on sale for only $19.99 - half the price of most DVD sets. If they're selling the set in hopes that more people will buy it, love it, and tune in next season - well, I hope they're right!

I can't believe parents let their younger teens watch some of those shows. Entourage? That's a little risque for anyone under 16 IMO.
