Heroes Banks on One of The Nine's Hostages

Dana Davis, who played Felicia Jones on The Nine and then went on to do Hidden Palms, is joining NBC's Heroes as a series regular. Per the Hollywood Reporter, while the exact power of Davis' character, Monica, is being kept hush-hush, it is said she "would give up everything to help the people around her." Ooh, she's "Supermartyr."

Heroes' sophomore season also features Dania Ramirez as a series regular, and recurring newcomers Nick D'Agosto, Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, David Anders, Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron.

I hope someone of the above has the power to keep all these new faces straight.

I'm happy to see that at least one network TV show is diversifying their cast. Dania Ramirez and Dana Davis are wonderful additions.

I get confused and usually lose interest when a cast is too big. I hope they are really careful about how and when they use all these newcomers. This is one of my favorite shows and I'd hate to lose interest because I can't keep everyone straight. (Thinking hurts sometimes.)

Oh, I wish David Anders was a series regular, not recurring. Oh well!

I would trade all these new faces to get back Christopher Eccleston as Claude the invisible man.

Uh, who did Dana Davis play on Hidden Palms? The only lead actor on the show who looks anything like her is Tessa Thompson (Nikki).

-- Rob -- admits he liked Hidden Palms

The more news I hear during the off-season, the less I want to be bothered upon its return since I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the season finale.

Some people seem to like change for change sake, I didn't think anything was "wrong" with the show to begin with.

If you've already got an exellent ensemble cast and a frequently complicated story line, I just hope they don't overburden everything with more and more new cast members, no matter who they are. Besides, how many people (in the world) are supposed to have special powers anyway? We don't want to make that too ordinary, now, do we? The noted new additions seem fine, but I wonder if part of it is to allow some of the current regulars to meet untimely ends, hmmm? Of course, LOST carries a fairly large ensemble cast and complicated story line, so maybe everything will be okay. I'll be watching to see.
