In her only television interview after Saturday's highly anticipated release of the seventh and final installment in the Harry Potter series, author J.K. Rowling will sit down with NBC's Meredith Vieira in Edinburgh, Scotland. This exclusive interview marks the first time Rowling will talk about the worldwide reaction to the series' much-anticipated and speculated-about finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. (Spoiler alert) Voldemort is a sled.

The interview will air on Today on Thursday, July 26, and Friday, July 27 (before day camp), and during a one-hour Dateline special airing Sunday, July 29. (Parents, cut some slack on bedtimes.)

As a Harry Potter nerd, who also has a life. I'd rather the interview be delayed a week or two so she can also talk about why she ended the series the way she did. I think it's a little unrealistic to expect that the "childhood" audience for these books to have read the last and reported longest book by that point!

i truly hope that you were not so thoughtless as to spoil the actual ending to a hotly anticipated book and that was simply an attempt to be humorous. if you were so disrespectful as to give away the ending, then i assure you you've just lost one reader.

Relax. The so-called "spoiler" is joking referral to a classic movie (which I won't name because, by the way, some newscast spoiled for me, thinking I suppose because the movie is decades old everyone must have seen it -- booo!)

Matt, what's going on with all these people with short fuses and no sense of humour these past couples of days! Ever time I come on someone has their knickers in a knot over a picture, a harmless (but funny joke)! Don't they get you and your sarcasm! Don't take it personally, it's them not you!

Voldemort's a sled? Now how come I didn't figure that one out? lol

But seriously, is it normal for me as an adult to be so excited about this book?

I have been trying to figure out how I can email her to suggest it would be wonderful if she would write a series of books about the life of Dumbledore, after she rested for a while.

I would love to read about him in his prime. They hinted at a lot of little things in the Harry Potter books.
