Grey's Wins GLAAD Award: The Red-carpet Buzz

ABC scored a (most fetching) hat trick on Saturday as Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters each were honored with GLAAD Media Awards, in the outstanding indvidual episode (for "Where the Boys Are," the one filmed right before the on-set kerfuffle), comedy and drama series categories, respectively. T.R. Knight opened the show by saying, "I am angry at the inequality we face every day. I hope to turn my anger into action. One of my actions is to be here to celebrate GLAAD's work... to teach and promote inclusion." Jennifer Aniston received the Vanguard Award for her efforts to increase visibility and understanding of the LGBT community... by kissing Court'?

On the red carpet, TV Guide asked Jerry O'Connell if he and Betty betty Rebecca Romijn had cemented any wedding plans yet, to which he smiled, "Not this week." Lance Bass posed for the paparazzi until his ex, Amazing Race alum Reichen Lehmkuhl, arrived with a tall, dark and handsome escort, at which point Lance dashed inside the Kodak Theatre. ("Lehmkuhl" is German for "awkward." ) Desperate Housewives boss Marc Cherry told TV Guide that the fine crystal will fly when Susan and Gaby get into a row over their rival wedding plans in an upcoming episode, and revealed that the Season 3 finale will feature, in addition to the aformentioned nuptials, "an interesting pregnancy [twist]" and, as already teased by Ausiello, a "major health crisis for one of the characters." — Additional reporting by Carita Rizzo

I find it ironic that Grey's won a GLAAD award for the episode it did. This is the episode where (behind the scenes) the "F-word" was sued, and caused a huge scandal.

On the other hand, it balances nicely the outrageous NAACP Image Award that Mr. Washington received for being a bigot. I honestly didn't know that was the image that the NAACP was trying to project. Just goes to show that the irrational hatred of LGBT people knows no color.

Yay for "Brothers & Sisters"! I can only hope the Emmys will also take notice of this fine show.

Wow that had to be...hilarious! Lance dated somebody second rate, so Reichen did the same to pail in comparison. Wow!

Actually you're incorrect. It happened on set in a hospital scene. This took place in an episode after the one you referenced was filmed.

It was a way to award TR Knight in a way I guess but yes, it's ironic.
