Grey's T.R. Has "Nothing to Say" as "Anniversary" Nears

T.R. Knight by Bob D'Amico/ABC
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, T.R. Knight sought to put to rest, once and for all, the controversy which has consumed the Grey's Anatomy set for nearly a year and led him out of the closet. Though Isaiah Washington has used multiple forums to offer his take on the October 2006 on-set scrape, Knight says, "I have nothing, absolutely nothing to say about it. With all due respect, I haven't said much at all, but I have said some, and I don't need to say more.... 'Cause it's August of '07.... And it's a beautiful sunny day. In. August. Of 2007."

"Sunny" can't be used to qualify Katherine Heigl's take on the sitch. She chimes in to the Times, "I have no respect for how Isaiah has handled this. I'm disgusted. That's probably a strong thing to say and I'm probably going to get yelled at... but I felt so infuriated because [Washington's] was the only opinion getting heard. But [T.R.] was right — to say nothing at all is the most dignified thing he could do." Ooh, look — irony!

Why is Heigl still yapping about it? Isn't Washington off the show? If Knight isn't concerned, willing or strong enough to address the matter like an adult, why should anyone care.

T.R. having nothing to say on the subject is perfect. There is absolutely nothing more that needs to be said. Knight gets that it is over. Wonder why others (journalist and bystanders) don't get it?!!

First off Knight is acting like an adult. It's done and over with, let's move on. That's the way adults should act. He's said his peace and that's that. He doesn't need to be on constant talk shows like Washington has. As for Heigl, she's expressing her opinion. Someone asked her and she spilled. Maybe the interviewers should just stop talking about and asking questions about it, the ship has sailed.

This is like shooting fish in a barrel, but...

Did you read the article at all? TR already addressed the matter. He did so without stooping to IW's level. What more do you want from him now that he refuses any further comment? Why is his not talking about it now a problem for you?

If only Washington had followed this example and shut up about it months ago, instead of blaming everybody under the sun for his actions except himself, he'd have some credibility with the public.

And strong enough? TR Knight's response to IW's cowardly hatred was to answer it with total honesty and come out of the closet at the top of his career. What have you ever done that approaches that kind of strength?

Finally, if nobody should care, then why do you?

And Heigl's handling of this continues to show the she's an excellent friend. She spoke up for TR when it would have been safer and easier for her not to. She's also, of course, not wrong.

Katherine Heigel needs to MYOB. This was between TR and Isaiah. I'm sure they asked her what she thought, but she needs to quit being TR's spokesperson. Quite frankly I don't care what SHE thinks. UGH...

If you don't care what she has to say then don't read what she has to say. But it's quite obvious you do care and don't like what she has to say you chose to read her remarks and then negatively comment about them. If you truly did not care about her words, you would not take the time to respond. It's pretty basic math. I ahppen to agree with the other writer in that she seams to be responding to a question on the subject. And since she is a cast member and a friend she is involved in the situation.

sure T.R. has nothing to say with the GLAAD people standing by his side readying whenever someone say something about him. Nice going T.R. nice going using your life style to promote an agenda for your own benifits.

Why won't Katherine shut the eff up!! Jiminy Christmas I am sick of her opinion on this story, more so than i am about this whole schpiel to begin with!! TR's right, it's 2007..let it go!! I already didn't like Izzie, now I can say I don't like Katherine's stupid a** either... Even though Knocked Up was hilarious!!

This entire situation makes me tired. Where is the righteous indignation with Jerry Lewis making the same homophobic statement on a national telathon no less? Why hasn't he been treated to the same media storm that IW was subjected to? Why doesn't Katherine Heigl get on that bandwagon. That slur was way more open and in my opinion more disgusting than the other and I do not see the media making an example out of him the way they did Isaiah. It is starting to look like a double standard based on color, which is equally disgusting.
